Dear Farmingdale Family,
We can’t believe it’s real, but we’ve officially sold G & L Bagels.
It’s incredibly hard to say goodbye to this town and this amazing community—the place that taught me to put chips on my bagels! My father opened this store in 1981. I met my wife here. My wife and her whole family are from here. My sister in law, kids, nieces, nephews and cousins have all worked here. This place has truly been home for our entire family.
It’s been an honor serving more than three generations here in Farmingdale. We’ve loved every moment of it, and we’ll miss you all so much. We’ve made so many great memories and lifelong friends over the years. To those of you who became friends and family along the way—we love you and are beyond grateful. You are what made this journey so special.
To everyone who has worked with us: Thank you. Really, thank you. It’s been an incredible ride, and we feel so lucky to have shared it with you.
But this isn’t the end of the bagel road for me! My father still owns Bagelport in Northport, and we’ve been there for about 30 years as well. I’ll be heading over there to help him out, so if you’re ever in the area (Larkfield Road!), we’d love to see some familiar faces.
Thank you all, from the bottom of our hearts. We truly loved being part of this community.
With gratitude,
Greg Jr
