At Crack of Dawn, our purpose and values have always been simple: to feed people good food, and provide a welcoming gathering place for all. In that spirit, and to give support in a tangible way, we will remain open and will donate our profits for the day to the Community Action Center, whose work lifts up our neighbors with food, and essential resources during this challenging time in our state.

We’ll be offering free drip coffee for anyone who would like to gather in our warm shop and not purchase anything to keep with your day’s intentions. We will also be collecting monetary and in-kind donations throughout the weekend, to directly support our neighbors through the work the CAC is doing in our communities.

We celebrated, we family-jammied, watched a lot of hockey, took turns being sick, played a round of very cold golf, made homemade pizza, went to the North Shore (for hockey) and to Detroit Lakes (also for hockey), cleaned out a few cupboards, rang in the New Year with good friends, laughed a lot and are now ready to get back to serving our amazing customers! Thank you for a wonderful 2025; we are looking forward to what 2026 will bring in our little slice of Central Avenue. Back open regular hours, 7-2 Thursdays through Saturdays!
