Itās been a HOT minute since Iāve reintroduced myself!
Iām Karina ROSE DeJongāthe lady behind all the flour, sugar, and sweet magic.š©š¼āš³
I started rosebudās sweets and treats back in September 2018 as a little hobby. Seven years later, my heart still skips a beat when someone tries my cupcakes for the first timeāor when my tried-and-true fans come back for more. š
Either way, Iām so glad youāre here and on this journey with me!
A few fun facts about me:
āØ Iām 30 but totally a kid at heart. My favorite thing is making people laugh! Iām pretty goofy and love throwing in a good pun during everyday conversations.š¤Ŗš„ø
āØ I bought my first home just over a year ago and moved to Fargo, ND! Being a homeowner has had its challenges, but Iām so grateful for this new independence.š”
āØ I work as a Marketing Coordinator for Dakota Fence Companyāa provider of specialty trade construction, industrial distribution, and related manufacturing services. I truly enjoy being creative and chairing all events for our 500-member Blue Family team! š
āØ My middle name is Rose, nickname Rosebudāhence the name! š¹
āØ Iām very family- and friend-oriented. I love my people! Especially being an auntieāthe BEST role ever! (You might even find family names in my cupcake flavors š)
āØ Iām a dog mom to TWO pups! Bennie, my cavapoo, and Rosie, my golden retriever! I love them endlesslyātheyāre my šš¾
āØ Iām an autoimmune disease warrior. Iāve battled lupus, a rare muscle disease, and lung disease since 2018. It once left me using a walker and very immobile, but today Iām doing amazing! Baking is my therapyāit keeps me going through daily challenges. š«¶š¼
āØ My middle name couldāve been coffee. Iām shocked my blood isnāt espresso by now! I used to drink six shotsābut these days, my go-to is a quad iced espresso with white chocolate and vanilla cold foam. ā
āØ My favorite meal? A lobster roll drowned in butter. Plus my dadās jalapeƱo poppers. And honestly, I dream about Fargoās Grand Junction sandwiches at least once a week. If you visitāget the #1 and thank me later. š¤¤š¤š¼š
āØ I love to travel. Iām an adventurous soulāType A mind with a carefree attitude, just wanting to fill life with spontaneous moments. āļø
āØ Baking went from a hobby to a side gig! I learned the love of baking at a young age from my grandmas and spending weekend nights in the kitchen with friends. Itās been a dream!
āØ My favorite cupcake? Hard to pickābut my go-to is angel food, almond, or cookie dough! š§
