The Weekend Baker of Fargo The Weekend Baker of Fargo sells sourdough bread plus unique breads, cookies, and pastries. Your order will be baked fresh for pick up at my home's bread shed.

I announce the menu and make ordering available approximately six days before bake day. I will take orders up to 2 days before bake day, as sourdough needs at least this time to prepare. I am unable to offer delivery at this time. From time to time I sell at a craft fair/farmer's market and you will have a choice of where to pick up your order (at the fair/market or porch).

Good morning everyone!!

Just brought my hoya plant to the kitchen for watering. It had grown so much! The flower is a star shape that has a very delicate scent. No flowers right now, but I'll show you when it does.

Last day of August. šŸŒ»šŸŒæ

The garden is starting to whisper that fall is on its way, but itā€™s definitely not finished yet. The flowers are still showing off, the peppers are turning red, the pumpkin is getting bigger, and thereā€™s still so much green everywhere.

I always have a hard time saying goodbye to summer. Thereā€™s something about stepping outside, checking what bloomed overnight, discovering whatā€™s ready to pick, and simply enjoying all the little things growing around home.

So today Iā€™m soaking it all in.

NEW HERE? šŸ‘‹šŸ„– Welcome to The Weekend Baker of Fargo!

Hi! Iā€™m Mae, the home baker behind The Weekend Baker of Fargo. Iā€™ve been baking sourdough and goodies for my family for years, and now I get to share them with you! Established January, 2020.

šŸ” So where can you find me?
I donā€™t have a storefront. Iā€™m a Fargo home bakery, and you can find me at local pop-ups and eventsā€”or pick up your order from my Bread Shed.

How does the Bread Shed work?
Every few weeks, I announce a pickup date and post a special menu. Ordering opens for a few days, you place your order online, and I bake everything fresh for pickup day. Then you simply swing by the Bread Shed and grab your goodies!

The menu changes, so you might find sourdough bread, Shokupan, cookies, pastries, seasonal treats, jams and a few Filipino- and Asian-inspired goodies along the way.

Small batches. Freshly baked. Made right here in Fargo. ā¤ļø

When did I start baking sourdough bread? šŸž

Long before The Weekend Baker of Fargo was even an idea, I was already baking sourdough bread for my family.

This photo is of a sourdough loaf I baked back in 2017. ā¤ļø

Itā€™s fun to look back and realize that something I was simply making at home for the people I loved would eventually grow into a little baking business of my own.

There were lots of loaves, experiments, successesā€”and probably a few not-so-pretty breadsā€”between then and now. šŸ˜‚ But every one of them taught me something.

The Weekend Baker of Fargo came later, but my sourdough story started at home. And this 2017 loaf is a little piece of that story. šŸžā¤ļø
