Join Fernley Animal Control from 9 AM–4 PM at Fernley Out of Town Park for our very first Check the Chip Day! Expect microchip checks, a microchip clinic, awesome local vendors, and surprises we can’t wait to unveil! 🤩🤫

We’re thrilled to welcome JT Ranch, Three Happy Hounds, Electric Snow, MH Fine Swin BBQ, The Classy Pet, Elaine King, Reynolds Photography, Stinky Puppies Bakery, Krafty Creations. and our lineup is still growing!

Microchips are $15; CASH ONLY OR bring a 10 lb. bag of unopened, unexpired pet food in place of the $15! All donated food goes directly to our Fernley Pet Pantry to help local families and their pets. ❤️

Already chipped? Bring your dog by and let us check it!

🐶 DOGS ONLY: Because we’ll be in an open outdoor park, we ask that cats stay safely at home. We also ask that dogs remain on a leash at all times!

Fernley Animal Control is excited to host our very first Check the Chip Day event, and we're looking for vendors to help make this new community event a success!

📅 Saturday, August 15, 2026
🕘 9:00 AM to 4:00 pm
📍 Fernley Out of Town Park

The event will feature:
🐶 A Microchip Clinic (DOGS ONLY); $15 per microchip (CASH ONLY) or a donation of a 10lb bag of pet food
🔍 Free Microchip Checks
🐍 A Get Rattled class, (which we are excited to announce is fully booked!!)
🍕Food trucks and Vendors
❤️ And a fun morning bringing pet owners and our community together.

We're especially looking for animal-themed vendors, such as:
🐾 Pet accessories
🦴 Homemade pet treats
🎨 Animal-themed crafts and gifts
🐕 Pet-related businesses and organizations

Don't have an animal-themed business? That's okay! Animal-themed vendors are preferred, but they are not required. We'd love to have a variety of local vendors, crafters, artisans, and small businesses join us!

⚠️ Vendor spaces are limited, so be sure to reserve your spot early!
