We've pushed hard on turkey harvest this week as the weather challenged us with cold rain, wind, and even brief snow. Our wakeful almost-one-year-old reminds us that during our last Thanksgiving push, I was nine months pregnant with debilitating anemia, and baking, so this one was relatively breezy! In times of hard work on the farm, we are deeply grateful for what we do, even as this journey brings our farm, and us, to a new plot of earth. 🍂 If you've ordered a pasture-raised Thanksgiving turkey from us, we'll be seeing you later this week! We will have a small number available, now that numbers are crunched, so reach out if you're still hoping for one. We also still have some of our pastured chickens, so if you'd like to stock your freezer with delicious, nourishing LFCF meat, message us.♡

The turkeys are looking fantastic! We are accepting preorders for Thanksgiving by phone this year, so contact us by call/text/DM/email/etc. and we will reach out for size preferences and deposit. They are raised on pasture, fed locally custom-milled corn/soy/GMO-free feed comprising mostly peas, wheat, and pumpkin seeds. They're processed by us here on the farm and will be available frozen in the 5 to 10 days ahead of the holiday.

Happy Saturday, all! Words just can't express the gratitude we feel to have been able to do this for the last several years. Tomorrow, for our last Sunday farmstand, we'll have sourdough doughnuts, Great Start breakfast muffins, and Scott's famous chocolate chip cookies.

We'll also have beautiful fresh and frozen pasture-raised chickens available. If you are still in need of a turkey for your Thanksgiving dinner table, we've got you covered!

Feel free to reach out to us if you are in need of milk or chicken over the next few weeks, or just want to swing by and chat it up. The outpouring of love we have felt since yesterday's news has been incredible, and it perfectly exemplifies what the farmstand has been all about. We love you guys. ♡♡♡♡♡ It's roast chicken season! Dear friends: We have news.

It is with ALL of the emotions that we share that we-- our family and farm-- are moving out of Oregon. We are filled with excitement, anticipation, and also sadness to be leaving behind so many of you, the incredible community we have come to know and love so much over these past few years. The friendships and experiences built out in the farmstand will be a part of us forever. We've been somewhat paused on social media while we've sorted out a thousand moving parts. There have been big thoughts, big talks, big decisions. But we've reached the point of needing to wind down the farmstand baking, so we're letting you in on the plan, and we'll resume sharing more of the goings on as they go. It's sure to be interesting! We hope to stay connected this way, even after we set sail.
For the near future, we will continue to have chicken (fresh and frozen), raw goat's milk, pasture-raised eggs, Thanksgiving turkeys for preorder, and some other things (to be announced) in the farmstand Sundays or by prearrangement (text/DM).
Every one of you means more to us than a simple weekly or occasional transaction. This business has grown into something truly special, and you have all been an integral part of that. Thank you, more than we can express.
We'll have (extra) doughnuts this Sunday, and fresh, pasture-raised chickens. You can still order a Thanksgiving turkey. And we would love to see you!
