I want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who came in and supported my sweet small business over the past 5 years. While I was only in the building for 2.5 years, I started this business five years ago during Covid.
This week as I clean up, pack up, and lock up, I just have a very grateful heart.
While yes, sometimes the jealousy/irritation comes through because I am human and I see folks supporting other businesses more than they supported mine or someone copies my ideas/menu items, the overwhelming feeling is gratitude.
Today before heading to pack up the shop, I took my little boy to daycare for the very first time. He has been woken up almost every day around 4am and shuffled to someone else for the last 2 years. Today, and the last several days, he has been able to sleep until a decent hour.
Saturday after I locked up, we went to the playground. He lived his best life and I got to watch-and sweat because it was stupid hot😂
While I am still waiting to hear from a job this fall, I am loving being able to spend time with my Dudey and my hubby, something I didn’t get to do a lot of.
Do I miss seeing smiling faces that greet me everyday? Yes.
Do I miss starting my day off baking fresh bread? Yes-soo I may have to make some😊
Do I miss being too tired to really be present in what my sweet boy is doing? No.
Do I miss stressing over which bill to pay so I can buy food for the shop? Absolutely not.
Lots of good things are happening and I wouldn’t miss it for the world.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being with me for so long. It means so much.
