And now back to our regularly scheduled programming… 😂🐈

Biscuit has officially earned his title of Mouser/Barn Cat. Last week he took down a chipmunk that did NOT go quietly! It bit him behind the ear and somehow managed to break his tail in the process. Biscuit still prevailed. 😭

Today’s victim: this teeny tiny baby shrew. 🥲

Biscuit, buddy… could we PLEASE stop killing all the cute little woodland creatures and redirect this energy toward the mice and rats?? You live on an old farm with a barn. I promise they’re out there. THOSE are the assignment. 😂🐭

We appreciate your dedication to pest control. We just need to work on target selection. 💀

And that’s a wrap on the Rossville Fall Festival! 🍪🤎

We are officially packed up and back home, with just 13 cookies left! And those 13 already have plans… they’ll be accompanying us on our family vacation this week. 😂

Thank you SO much to everyone who stopped by today, bought cookies, came back for more, chatted with us, or simply stopped to say hi. After having to miss yesterday, we weren’t sure what today would look like, but it turned out to be such a good day!

This one felt a little extra special because we haven’t done the Fall Festival since 2024, when we stepped away from Gilbert’s Greater Goods. Coming back after two years and seeing people enjoying our goodies again felt pretty darn good. 🥹

We came home tired, happy, grateful… and apparently with exactly enough cookies for vacation snacks. 😂🍪

Little Fall Festival update! 🍪🤎

Gilbert’s Greater Goods won’t be at the Rossville Fall Festival today. After a couple of very long days of baking and preparing, and a very sleepless night with a little one, we had to make the difficult call this morning to sit today out.

BUT! We just got confirmation that we’ll be there TOMORROW! 🎉

And the good news? The baking is DONE. 😂 We have a whole lot of jumbo gourmet cookies packaged up and waiting for you!

So today we’re resting, regrouping, and tomorrow we’ll be bringing all the goodies to Rossville. 🤎🍪

A little Fall Festival update from Gilbert’s Greater Goods 🍪🤎

Unfortunately, we won’t be at the Rossville Fall Festival today as originally planned. After a very long couple of days of baking and preparing (and a very sleepless night with a little one 😅), we had to make the difficult call this morning to sit today out.

We’re disappointed. We have a whole lot of jumbo gourmet cookies packaged up and ready to meet you! 😭🍪

We’re hopeful that we may still be able to join the festival tomorrow, but we’re waiting to confirm that before making any promises. As soon as we know for sure, we’ll post an update here!

Thank you so much for understanding and for supporting our little family business. 🤎

And trust me, the cookies are READY. 😂🍪

Well, well, well… look who’s coming out of retirement 😂

It’s official! Gilbert’s Greater Goods will be at the Rossville Fall Festival October 3rd & 4th! 🍂

No, we aren’t reopening the bakery 😂 BUT we thought it would be fun to dust off the mixers once a year and come back for a festival.

And we’re keeping it simple. We’re bringing the OGs:

🤎 Jumbo cinnamon rolls
🍪 Jumbo gourmet cookies
🤎 Jumbo gourmet brownies

That’s it. The big stuff you guys used to know us for. 😂

We had SO many amazing customers when we were baking and we know there are still quite a few of you around here who remember us. We’re really excited to do this again for a couple days and hopefully see a bunch of familiar faces!

So if you’ve missed Gilbert’s Greater Goods, come see us October 3rd & 4th and stock up while you can.

Because after that weekend, we’re disappearing again. 😂
