So yesterday we began our first collab with Christopher's (and I finally got to meet the gentleman). Poor guy had to deal with me babbling after being awake since 2am and I was beat... And definitely over caffeinated. Yet he and Nate were extremely friendly and kind.

I brought Christopher a gallon worth of Painkiller (in concentrate form) to let him try to make it into one of his (quickly becoming world famous) Frozen Custard.

He is selling it at his shop today. So for anyone interested and around the Fall River area and loves our Painkiller you might want to GET OVER THERE and try it.

Also, and I must say this... I took home some of their Sesame Chicken Garlic Noodles and they were KILLER!

They do things right over there.

It's hard to describe a "vibe" but as small businesses a "vibe" beneficial to who you are and how your customers remember you.

Some people come to the Nook and love the games, some people love the guitars, some people aren't even coffee drinkers but they come for our Linguica Rolls, pizza or our breakfast sandwiches... But at the heart of it all .. the most important ingredient is love. People who step into our shop can definitely feel the love.

When I walk into Christopher's the building has that vibe.

An honor to share space with these two amazing people, joke around and finally get to meet, talk shop and hang out.

I'm very curious to see what he did with this specialty custard. I never expected TODAY. The man works fast.b

This is a photo of Christopher's Rice Pudding Custard... It's creamy and beautifully flavored. Not too sweet and absolutely outstanding.

This is worth the drive for . And truly I am stuck in the car in a long drive today and... I can stop "sampling" this.

It's kind of the best frozen custard I've ever had ... And I don't say that lightly!

Do not hesitate .. get this if you enjoy Portuguese Rice Pudding.

Christopher is gonna have me waiting outside at open next time this comes out.

🍕 Weekend hours update
This Friday, Saturday, and Sunday we’ll be closing at 2 PM instead of 8 PM.

One amazing Bryan is out of town, and he’s the one who makes the pizza magic happen — so we’re shutting down a little early rather than serving without him.

Regular hours resume next week. Thanks for understanding — see you before 2! 💛

It's no secret I am a huge fan of Christopher's in Fall River. A true spot of community leadership and food made with heart...

For all of the reasons to go to Christophers on Tuesday... It's this!

Christopher has been doing amazing stuff with frozen custard and it's small batch prepared items like this that make me smile as a small business owner.

I'm sure I don't have to tell you about Christopher's they have way more followers and interactions than we do... But if you haven't taken notice... Follow them on Facebook and see what a true community leader looks like.

So honored to call him a friend.

I need to get over there and get this rice pudding custard tomorrow!!!!

So I haven't had a chance to try the SmashedNB business since they opened. Well I heard they just opened a new location on Rockdale Ave in New Bedford so I figured I would give them a try.

Great burger... It had a nice lacing too it and the burger to cheese ratio was perfect. Personal taste here .. I would do EITHER the caramelized onions OR the smash sauce as together they were a little on the sweet side for me.

But that's personal preference.
Give these guys a try. They are new to this area and now is the time to show your love.

A great Smash Burger...

We’re doing Meatball Subs again today!

Katie’s sauce is already on the stove. Meatballs have been cooking for hours.

Lunch runs until 1:30.

Two versions:

The Basic — meatballs on Italian herb bread, toasted with mozzarella. $12

The Meatball Thing Sub — meatballs with ricotta, mozzarella, and cheddar, finished with Nettie’s Bees hot honey. $14

Limited quantities.
Once they’re gone, they’re gone.
