We are a full service bakery specializing in custom cakes, gourmet cupcakes, pastries, cookies and desserts. Our menu is an irresistible blend of comfort-oriented classics, traditional European specialties and elegant baked goods. All items are handcrafted from scratch with the finest natural ingredients. Growing up in Europe good, fresh food was a central part of our lives with desserts and cakes being made in our house every week I do not use preprocessed fillings, frostings and only use fresh eggs, butter, sugar and flours. I refuse to use any ingredients that I would not use when cooking for my own family at home. A lot of you know I come from Romania, I left a communist country and came to America. Many don’t know that my country was a Monarchy until 1947 when king Mihai was forced to abdicate by the Soviets and the incoming communist party.
It was such an honor to be part of such an important moment this week when we marked 100 years since Queen Maria of Romania came to New York. Thanks to our amazing General Consul in New York Mrs. Simona Florea, a little corner in New York City will be named Queen of Romania Corner at 3rd Avenue and 38th Street in front of our Romanian Consulate.
It was an emotional evening, and I was very honored to be invited to participate and make the cakes and pastries for the event.
I’ve arrived in America 30 years ago and I reached my American dream through my hard work and the wonderful people from here that sustained and encouraged me…but I’ll keep in my heart the Romanian heritage as long as I live🇷🇴🇷🇴🇺🇸🇺🇸
