Hi everyone! š Iāve been MIA!! The last two months have been SO busy! We recently moved from Rancho to Fair Oaks, which has been so draining. I havenāt had much time to do any baking. Since my business is a home (cottage) bakery, I have to go through the process to re-establish my business. This has also given me the opportunity to sit back and re-evaluate what I want things to look like.
When I started brainstorming starting a home bakery, I had all these ideas about baking all these amazing things! However, my home bakery is a side hustle. In my day job, I work as a mental health professional (LCSW to be specific). I quickly realized that I bit off more than I can chew when trying to manage both.
After taking time to reflect on what brings me the most joy when thinking about a home bakery, Iāve decided to focus on cake baking and decorating. I love baking all the things in general, but the science of baking a caking from scratch and decorating it is what I am most passionate about. Once I obtain my licenses needed at my new house, that will be the focus of Suzyās Bakery ā¤ļø Iām so excited to get things going again and get my delicious, made-from-scratch baking goodies out there ā¤ļø
