I recently started volunteering for Cake4Kids , which is a not for profit organization that works with agencies who provide services to underserved youth. The goal is to make sure that no matter what a youth is going through, they are able to celebrate their birthdays, graduations, holidays, and various milestones. My entire adult life I have worked in varying capacities in which I’m giving back to the community. I was SO excited when I came across Cake4Kids because their mission aligns with my values, and I LOVE to bake and make sure others can celebrate the little things in their lives.
This was my first cake that I delivered last week. It was so much fun to make and I hope the family and child that got it loved the flavor and decoration. They requested a banana cake with American buttercream and the theme was Mickey Mouse club house with Mickey silhouette and balloons. ❤️ Each request is anonymously requested through their case workers and bakers are given very minimal info about the child (name is and always will be blocked for privacy). Chapters are open all across the US, so if you’re interested, look them up!

🍌Banana Nut Bread mini loaf with a walnut streusel topping
🎃Pumpkin Bread mini loaf with a pumpkin spice glaze
🥐Cinnamon rolls with Vanilla icing

We’re open Sat and Sun from 8am-6pm. It’s self serve and we accept cash, Venmo, and card (via QR code).

Thank you soooo much to everyone who came out last night!! We had a blast and it definitely wore use out lol. We really appreciate everyone who stopped by, chatted with us, or bought some goodies. The discussions around how many candy corn are in the jar and how people determined their number were fun. There were also some fun discussions about whether or not candy corn is good. Tomorrow I’ll announce the winner and the number. No one got it right on the number but 2 people got really close. How many do you think are in here? 🤔 and are you a fan of candy corn?

We’ve got freshly baked cinnamon rolls at our porch bakery today 🤤 a little fun fact about these babies: as soon as I pull them out of the oven, I drizzle about a teaspoon of icing on them so the icing melts into the rolls. Once they’re cooled, I add a little more on top. We also have Banana Nut Bread and White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies available today. TOMORROW we will be closing down the porch bakery at 12pm so we can vend at the Halloween Towne market in Roseville. It is going to be sooo fun and you will not want to miss the Halloween themed cupcakes and cake pops we’ll be selling 🎃🧟👻🦇💀
