I love cookies; the taste, the texture, the flavors. The smell of them cooking. I especially love the look on the face of the person I give them to. They are a joy to bake, to eat, and to share. I've had so many requests this year, it was time for my cookies to get their own page. A big thank you to some friends and all my original clients who pushed for this, you guys are the best! Also, to all the great cookiers who share their ideas, talents, tips, and more with us new gals - invaluable.

this cookie attempt took me two days and knocked me down for three. it was definitely a labor of love, heavy on the labor. I'm just not there yet and I don't want to push so hard that I set myself back. I'm glad I tried (and have cookies) but I won't be doing it again as soon as I'd like. 😞

I don't know what to say. I'm usually pretty good with words but I've got nothing here. Every time I try to say something I get so overwhelmed with gratitude, I just cry. I came home today. I may or may not have had to crawl my way in, but I didn't come home in a box. my life was saved no less than 3 times.
The doctors saved me, the nurses kept that way. Good lord I had some Angels for nurses. I also didn't lose my house while I was gone because of all of your support. When I tell you I have the single best client base in the Seacoast, It is not an exaggeration. The prayers alone are overwhelming, but the generosity on top of that is humbling. I try to be a good part of this community and the love and support being shown to me has been a priceless gift.
I've still got a ways to go recovery wise, but I'm hopeful to eventually get back into my kitchen . I think we all know cookies are my love language and I've got some thank you baking to do ❤️
In the meantime, I'm just going to enjoy some quiet holiday time with my family. I hope you all get to do the same. Merry Christmas!

Mom here ..Crystal update..huge win!
They took her off the breathing machine yesterday! Not much talking.Did another zoom call with infectious disease doc. No news there. But ordered more bloodwork and cultures.
Today I walk in the room and she says where the hell you been? Pretty clear too. I said at the store I'm feeding a teenager!
She also told me to take her home. I told her I am not qualified or have enough confidence to take care of her. I only play a doctor on TV.
She is pretty immobile. She can wave but not use her hands. She can't stand or sit up on her own. They did feed her a little bit and she can sip water. But someone has to do it for her. I said fine but I'm not doing no potty training ( she has a catheter in )
She also had PT/OT. And 3 hours of dialysis. Busy girl today. I told her she has to work at it. I brought Dad up later. He had tears seeing his little girl looking so much better.
Oh, and she's being a wise ass. I told her she's going to be grounded when she gets home. Her godfather came by the house today. He's been on pins and needles with us. Nice to share the news in person She has a long road ahead of her.

Crystal update....yesterday
She is septic again brought on by this mysterious infection.
Doc chat... They are in touch with the infectious disease group in Boston. More and more blood work is suggested. Just having a hard time pin pointing it down. 2 mystery diseases in 2 kids in 6 months. What? Come on now, enough already.
Does not look like she will be home Xmas. When she does get to leave the hospital she's off to a rehab facility. Depending on her condition then, maybe I can bring her home for the day. Just thinking ahead. Haven't mentioned it to Parker yet. She don't know this either.This all hit me pretty hard I got to say.
Guess I get to figure that out and I will!
