Happy New Year Everyone!

So many things happened this past month.

✝️ We celebrated the life of my uncle/hanai dad
🎄We celebrated Christmas with family
💍 Hubby and I celebrated our 17th Wedding Anniversary
💍My parents Celebrated their 49th Wedding Anniversary
👩‍💼I completed my first month at my new job!

Now that things have calmed down and I know how much time I can allot for Shortcakes Hawaii, I've decided a few things:

🍰 Shortcakes Hawaii will only take orders for pick up on the weekends: Friday evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays. We will temporarily discontinue delivery, unfortunately. Meet-ups will be an option, depending on my availability.
🍰Limited orders will be taken per weekend, so make sure to place your order way in advance.
🍰New item: Cookie Cakes! These will be available starting February. I made a cookie cake for my parents' wedding anniversary because they both love chocolate chip cookies!
🍰I haven't had time to update my website 😆 but I will this weekend! Mahalo, for your patience.

Aloha Everyone,

I started Shortcakes Hawaii in 2017 after leaving my career as a Social Worker to take of my son full-time at home. Now, 8 years later, I am back to working in the social services field that still allows me to spend more time with my family.

What a journey it has been!!! It's a bitter sweet feeling and definitely a busy first day, for sure.

What does this mean for Shortcakes Hawaii? We will be operating per usual, but only available on the weekends for mostly pick up or meet up. We are closed until January 2026, at least, as my family and I navigate this new part of our lives.

Orders must be placed with at least 4 weeks' notice or more because my availability will be less.

If you've stuck around since 2017 or just started following....

Hey everyone!

Sorry, I have been MIA. It's been a crazy time since October! Lots of changes here at Shortcakes Hawaii, but all good changes!

We'll announce the changes soon, but for now I'm going to focus on reposting cake-worthy content....like these luxury cupcakes I'm still in awe of 😍😍😍

Happy Birthday to these special ladies! I was honored to make their dual birthday celebration cupcakes with our Luxury Cupcake Box set!

This mother-daughter duo was born in the same month and shared the same numbers in age (1-4) this year, so it was extra special. They chose a boho/cheetah print and local girl designs for their cupcakes.

My birthday cake 🎂

Pumpkin Cake with Vanilla Bean Cream Cheese filling, decorated in my favorite way to decorate: vintage/lambeth. I tried my hand at drop lines...let's jist say I need practice 😆

I love all things fall, so naturally, I will choose pumpkin spice everything, EVERYDAY! 🥳

But can I ask you....is this cake BROWN or BURGUNDY? Because I swear it looked burgundy when I made the cake! 😆😆😆 it looks brown on camera, I guess, but doesn't it pull a little bit more maroon, maybe? I don't know 😆 swipe right for a friendly debate between me, my eyes, and my friends' eyes 😆

Happy Fall Y'all!

What better way to start the Ber months by showcasing this beautiful Halloween Hello Kitty Cake. This design pulled at my heart strings, not only because of the theme, but because the celebrant gave me the Biggest. Hug. Ever!
