Introducing… PURPLE RAIN! 💜☔️🍪

I mean, how beautiful is that purple?!
Purple Rain is an ube cookie with white chocolate chips and Oreos—and I am LOVING this one!
What is ube, you ask? Ube is a purple yam commonly used in Filipino desserts. It has this wonderful, slightly sweet vanilla-meets-nutty flavor, and if you haven’t tried it yet, you need to. I LOVE UBE!
Ube has finally started making its way into the Evansville food scene, and I am here for it! You can find ube drinks at places like The Drink Station and River City Coffee, Bad Randy’s has previously featured an ube cheesecake, and we’re starting to see more ube desserts popping up around town.
I’ve been wanting to create an ube cookie for a while now, and as a girl who grew up in the ’80s and ’90s… what else could I possibly name a gorgeous purple cookie?

Our Camping Cookie Decorating Class is officially open for registration!
Join me at Arrowhead Boutique in Mt. Vernon on Saturday, October 3rd from 10am–12pm to decorate this adorable camping-themed cookie set! 🏕️🔥🎒
The class is $45 per person and includes everything you need to decorate your cookies. I’ll walk you through each design step-by-step, so no decorating experience is needed!

🍪 Upcoming Cookie Decorating Classes! 🍪
I’m so excited for these upcoming classes at Arrowhead Boutique! We have Camping in October, Thanksgiving in November, and Christmas Basics in December! 🎄
I’m especially excited about the Christmas Basics class! Every design in this class starts with a simple ROUND cookie cutter. That’s it! ❤️ No collection of fancy cookie cutters needed.
I wanted to create a class that teaches you how to take one basic shape and turn it into several adorable Christmas designs—so you can easily recreate them at home with your kids, grandkids, friends, or family. 🎅🏻☃️🎄🦌
And remember, my decorating classes aren't just about decorating! Everyone who takes one of my classes also receives my vanilla sugar cookie recipe AND my vanilla royal icing recipe, so you can make and decorate your own cookies at home. 🍪

Well, I guess a 12-year anniversary gift is a mixer! 😂🍪❤️
My hubby upgraded me from my 6-qt KitchenAid to an 8-qt commercial KitchenAid today! And I am ridiculously excited about it. 😊
The cookie business has been going so well that my poor 6-qt mixer was starting to struggle with my triple batches. Apparently, I’ve officially reached the point where I need commercial equipment to keep up with all of you! 😂
We have a local guy who works on KitchenAid mixers and also buys, sells, and trades them. He happened to have a couple of 8-qt commercial mixers, so we traded mine in and paid the difference to upgrade to this beast!
This one is going to handle those big batches SO much better—and hopefully make my crazy baking weekends a little easier. 🍪
Jim is always my biggest supporter and cheerleader, even when supporting me means buying bigger and bigger kitchen equipment. 😂❤️
Happy 12 years together to us—and happy new mixer day to me! 😂🍪❤️
Now… what should be the first cookie I make in her?! 👀
