The Clarke will open late on Wednesday 03/13/2023 at 1 pm rather than 11 am. We apologize for the inconvenience. We are otherwise open the remainder of the week from 11 am to 4 pm, Thursday - Sunday. So come see the new 1964 Flood Exhibit and much more in Nealis Hall!
This cable carrier was used to carry people and supplies across Canyon Creek at Junction City along US Highway 299 in Trinity County in 1965 after the catastrophic flood. As always, thank you for your support!

(2 of 2) Hello Folks!
We wanted to check in with you one last time to say THANK YOU so very much for your support over the years. We are very appreciative of the well wishes when you’ve seen us at the shop. We wanted to dispel a rumor. We definitely wanted to continue to serve you, our community (especially The Jefferson Project), and our wholesale partners; and finally expand the business to its fullest potential after the past tumultuous five years. Unfortunately, while we put our best faces on, we were still climbing out of the Pandemic and various entities could no longer be patient. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to us, our private lender was not required to report on time Mortgage payments to the credit agencies, so securing other traditional financing is not possible. If any of our wonderful guests have any interest in financing us to continue, please let us know as soon as possible. While Pacific Partners did their best in securing a buyer for us, it seems we vastly overspent on the renovation and upgrades to modernize the derelict building that stood empty for years and the current commercial market can’t support our asking price at this time. We just posted the renovation and upgrade list finished by wonderful local contractors. The Property will be up for auction at the County Courthouse on February 16th at 11:00AM. It is going for 60% of its true value. We sincerely hope whomever secures the property is able to open an establishment all of Eureka can be proud to present to the world! We will see you again. Much Love - Phil and Miles.
