āLooks like meatās back on the menu, boys!ā š„§āļø
We were invited out to Pleasanton because of our haggis, so we built something weāre really proud of: a Haggis Pie, layered with neeps and tatties (thatās turnips/rutabaga and potatoes for our non-Scottish friends), all finished with a whiskey cream sauce. Itās a modern twist on a traditional Scottish dinner, and Itās Pure dead brilliant!
There will be three other meat pie vendors there too, and we cannot wait for the Highlanders to get a taste of what Hobbit Love (and real butter) is. š
This oneās a record for us in more ways than one; itās the most pies weāve ever made for a single event (over 4,000!) and the biggest investment weāve ever put into a festival. Weāve grown bigger every single time we do this, and itās⦠humbling. We think this might be our ceiling for a while⦠but weāve said that before. š
We just love our Highlanders, and we canāt wait to share our love of Celtic culture, Hobbit hearts and food with everyone in Pleasanton.
