ā€œLooks like meatā€™s back on the menu, boys!ā€ šŸ„§āš”ļø

We were invited out to Pleasanton because of our haggis, so we built something weā€™re really proud of: a Haggis Pie, layered with neeps and tatties (thatā€™s turnips/rutabaga and potatoes for our non-Scottish friends), all finished with a whiskey cream sauce. Itā€™s a modern twist on a traditional Scottish dinner, and Itā€™s Pure dead brilliant!

There will be three other meat pie vendors there too, and we cannot wait for the Highlanders to get a taste of what Hobbit Love (and real butter) is. šŸ˜‰

This oneā€™s a record for us in more ways than one; itā€™s the most pies weā€™ve ever made for a single event (over 4,000!) and the biggest investment weā€™ve ever put into a festival. Weā€™ve grown bigger every single time we do this, and itā€™sā€¦ humbling. We think this might be our ceiling for a whileā€¦ but weā€™ve said that before. šŸ˜„

We just love our Highlanders, and we canā€™t wait to share our love of Celtic culture, Hobbit hearts and food with everyone in Pleasanton.

This season has stretched us further than weā€™ve ever been stretched. Costs went up, weā€™re taking on bigger events than we ever have, there have been family emergencies happening in the background too, and some days it genuinely feels like weā€™re building the plane while flying it. I wonā€™t pretend it hasnā€™t been hard.

Thereā€™s that moment near the end of The Lord of the Rings where Sam canā€™t carry the ring for Frodo, but he can carry Frodo himself. Thatā€™s exactly how this season has felt. We canā€™t hand off the weight of this dream to anyone else, itā€™s ours to carry. But our crew and you ALL have been carrying us the whole way, showing up, believing alongside us, making this possible when we didnā€™t know how weā€™d do it alone. We couldnā€™t be more grateful for every single one of you.

Someone today said something about being addicted to the grind. That doesnā€™t feel right. We are instead, addicted to who we are becoming because of it.

Every hard week teaches us something about holding responsibility, staying honest with the people we love, and choosing to believe in what weā€™re building even when the math is scary.

And even with all of it, we are so deeply grateful. Grateful to get to create this dream at all. Grateful for the incredible crew we have, people who arenā€™t just working for us, but dreaming alongside us, riding this whole roller coaster with us. We are so lucky to have every single one of them.

We are doubling and tripling down on our belief right now, heading into some of our biggest events yet. Itā€™s costing us in real ways, sleep, cushion, comfort. But we have faith itā€™s going to work, because it always has, one hard earned step at a time.

This is it, this is the roller coaster weā€™re actually on, and I want to let you in on more of it, not just the polished parts.

Thank you for being part of this with us, for buying the pies that let us keep dreaming bigger. And huge thank you to every single person we have in our Fellowship of the pie. This oneā€™s for you.

Today finds us at the Lane County Farmers Market , stall set and baskets brimming, and in a few weeks weā€™ll take the long road to the Pleasanton Highland Games; no Ring required, just good company and

Building a business is a lot like raising a child.

You pour your sleep, your time, your money, your whole spirit into something, and you keep reinvesting, whether thatā€™s sweat or time or money, because you have faith in what youā€™re creating.
Itā€™s not always easy, and honestly, some of the hardest parts have been the ones nobody sees.

But hereā€™s the truth. It has been an uphill battle in Eugene. The Lane County Farmers Market has been such a blessing and we are extremely grateful for it.

We love this community deeply, and we just havenā€™t found our permanent place here yet.

So weā€™re leaning into what has actually been working for us, becoming roaming vendors, showing up in the communities where things click, where we feel nurtured, celebrated, and aligned with our values.

It makes us Happyā€¦ and sometimes thatā€™s all that needs to be said.

We will be at the Douglas County Highland Games this weekend, and our wonderful team, Bryce and DaisyDoesit will be holding down the Saturday market for us here at home.

They are such a powerful team and we are excited to see them step into this role!

Weā€™re so grateful for this journey, wherever it takes us.

Honey let me be your Salty Dawg Saloon šŸ’—

A Homer, Alaska | Itā€™s All Here destination, this saloon has been a huge part of my life. I would come by here after school to wait for my mom to get off of work (feeling so cool) šŸ˜Ž playing Metallica on the jukebox, had my brother sign a dollar bill with me and hang it from a braw when I was a teen and had very many late nights listening to amazing live music šŸŽ¶

It is a core part of the Alaskan culture and it was awesome to bring the fellowship to such a fun hometown treasure.

All done with pie and heading down the Kenai Peninsula, our first stop at Alaska Wildlife Cons. Center conservation to see all the beautiful animals that Alaska has to offer!

Driving down the Peninsula is one of my (Amy) favorite drives, because it reminds me of coming home.

Wild Mountain goats on ternag an arm, beluga whales in the bay surrounded by all of the majestic mountainsā€¦ makes my heart swell šŸ’—

What a world to grow up in. I canā€™t thank my mother enough for raising me in this beautiful, wild land. With open eyes I see it differently.
