I’ve been trying to find the right words since Sunday, and honestly, I’m not sure they exist.
From the bottom of my heart… thank you.
To every returning customer who continues to support The Loaf Lounge, thank you for believing in me. Seeing familiar faces walk up to the porch meant more than you’ll ever know.
To every new customer I had the pleasure of meeting, thank you for taking a chance on a small home bakery. I loved hearing how you found us, where you traveled from, and getting to put faces with names. Hearing that some of you were picking up orders for friends and family all the way in Baton Rouge absolutely blew my mind.
Sunday wasn’t our first pop-up, but it was our first at this scale.
Over the course of the week, I baked 105 items while putting in roughly 60 hours of work outside of my regular 8–5 job. It was exhausting, exciting, and one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done.
The Loaf Lounge was never created because I dreamed of selling bread. It started with a simple goal: to make one more thing my family ate from scratch with ingredients I felt good about. As friends and family tried my bread, they encouraged me to start selling it because they loved it. Eventually, I decided to take the leap.
This pop-up was a test—not just to see if I could bake enough, but to see if all of the research, planning, and practice I’ve poured into this journey could come together on a larger scale. It was a chance to find out if my methods were sustainable and if I could truly pull off something this ambitious.
I knew I was taking risks. There was the risk of planning a menu this large. The risk of spending countless hours preparing food that might not sell. The risk that social media wouldn’t reach people. And the risk of hosting a porch pop-up instead of setting up in a public location.
But growth doesn’t happen without taking those chances.
Because of all of you, every single risk was worth it.
We completely SOLD OUT.
That still doesn’t feel real.
While the day was an incredible success, I also learned things that can only be learned by doing something at this scale. There are things I’ll improve, things I’ll streamline, and lessons I’ll carry into every pop-up from here on out. That’s part of growing, and I’m excited for what’s ahead.
Most of all, I hope everything that left our table made it home safely, was shared with the people you love, and was every bit as delicious as I hoped it would be.
