Sometimes when I post on social media I feel like I’m narrating someone else’s life.
This time I wish that were the case.
We’ve been keeping a bit of a secret, honestly because I’ve been in denial.
It was almost serendipitous timing that the town got involved and we had to put a pause to pickups. It gave me a little extra time before I had to blame the donut hiatus on cancer.
But here we are. Jordan has a mass on the same lung they operated on last year. That spot has continued to grow and now lights up on scans, everything we had hoped against.
Today they’ll be removing the bottom lobe of his lung to hopefully stop any future spread and let us put this all behind us. 🤞🏼
Sorry to bum you out, I promise we laughed at how accidentally sad I made this post. We are VERY positive about what the outcome of this surgery will be.
As for donuts. I will be taking a short break to ensure Jordan has ample support and that I can be there mentally and physically full time for our 4 children.
We will not be at opening day for the Essex Farmers Market but I’m going to easy back into it for the second week with a small batch! Previously scheduled preorders WILL be fulfilled.
Thank you all sooooo much for the support of our business and our family! It means the world to us! 🫶

Today happened so fast I didn’t get a single picture, we sold out in 30 minutes! 🤯
I loved seeing cars waiting in the parking lot for us when we got there to set up 😍😍😍
I’m still completely blown away by the support!!!

We’ll be at one more time tomorrow at 9am!! We’re working real hard to make as many donuts as we can! 💪🏼
