New Year…
"Thank u, next." —Me to 2023
Out with the old, in with the new!
A new year means a new chapter!
Job 8:7: "Although your former state was ordinary, your future will be extraordinary.
I couldn't imagine a better way to kick off the new year than with Roy in my life. Traditional toast & resolutions are part of my past. In fact, research suggests that only 9% of Americans who make resolutions complete them.
If you must make a resolution, go beyond typical resolutions like hitting the gym and consider more outside-the-box ideas like learning how to invest your money, volunteering your time to charity, or trying a new hobby, plant a new garden, call your parents or grandparents more, give more compliments, practice saying “No”, take a social media break, read more and scroll less, stop all non essential spending, catch up with family, be more mindful of your health and what you are eating, drink more water, drink less alcohol (it is a depressant). The Bible has a lot to say about vows: Ecclesiastes 5:5: “It is better not to vow than to make a vow and not fulfill it.”
Fresh Start and a year full of exciting possibilities!
May the next 365 days be filled with love, laughter, and good times. I hope your new year is filled with good friends, great adventure, and even better treats! My only wish for the new year is for us to continue creating memories together.
Start of the year is going to be concerning my Health -Sarcoidosis, creating my Cookbook, starting Herbalist school! Looking forward to 12 brand new chapters.
Here's to ✍️ 366 new pages in the 📖 of 2024.
Just a few scriptures to start the year off right:
Hebrews 13:5 “Your way of life should be free from the love of money, and you should be content with what you have. After all, he has said, ‘I will never leave you or abandon you.'”
Psalm 34:1: “I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise will always be on my lips.”
1 Thessalonians 5:18: “In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
Lamentations 3:22-23: "Certainly the faithful love of the Lord hasn’t ended; certainly God’s compassion isn’t through! They are renewed every morning. Great is your faithfulness."
