There is something sacred about a loaf of bread that starts with a grain and a stone mill. At Ancient Kneads, we freshly mill organic, whole grains right before mixing the dough.
Why the extra effort? Because the moment a grain is cracked, its nutrients begin to fade. By milling in-house, we capture the living oils, vitamins, and minerals that industrial flour leaves behind. When we pass a loaf over the counter to you, it’s coming straight from our table to yours—made with the same integrity we demand for our own family. We care A LOT about what enters our children's mouths and hope to give you a nourishing option for yours.
Why Organic Matters for the Littles 👶
Kids are MORE sensitive than adults as to what goes into their bodies. Store-bought bread could be causing loads of problems for them (attention difficulties, eczema, illness, and more)! By choosing 100% organic, we’re making sure their sandwiches are free from synthetic glyphosate and pesticides. By choosing fermented wholegrain, you are giving them bread that will add to their vitamin and mineral stores rather than deplete them. It’s peace of mind wrapped in a golden crust.

Need a quick, nutrient-dense win for the kids? Try our go-to:
Fry it in Ghee: Pan-fry a slice of 100% spelt sourdough in golden ghee until it’s perfectly crisp.
Add the Fish: Top with high-quality canned fish (like sardines or tuna). We used canned krill from grocery outlet in the picture.
The combination of healthy fats from the ghee, Omega-3s from the fish, and the complex carbs from our whole grains creates a "brain-food" lunch that actually tastes like a treat.
