***NOTICE*** Trish's Farmhouse Bakery will be permanently closing as of March 22nd, 2026. I want to thank each of you for your love, support and patronage the past several years. Orders for Thanksgiving must be received by NOVEMBER 23rd for Wednesday pick up. Now accepting Christmas orders too! Christmas orders must be placed by DECEMBER 14th and will need to be picked up by DECEMBER 20TH. we will be closed the week of Christmas.

Instead of posting a dedicated menu for the holidays, I've decided to just do open orders. Examples of what you can order, Cakes, fruit pies, cobblers, coffee cake, mini cakes or cupcakes, cake pops, brownies, fudge, Dipped pretzels, yeast Donuts, yeast bread/rolls, cookies, sugar cookie, cookie or cake decorating kits and more. Just message me with what you're looking for and I can help you put together platters, gift boxes or full size treats.

After some confusion on a local Elwood page, I wanted to clarify some things for those who are local to Elwood or who are curious about our operations. 1. I am not affiliated with any other bakery. 2. I fall under a "home based vendor" under the states rules and with that there are rules and regulations I have to comply with such as having a food handlers certification, not making temperature controlled items that are considered "unstable". (For example I cannot use actual cream cheese but I can use cheesecake or cream cheese flavoring.) Sales have to be direct to the customer, we cannot sell items to a local coffee shop and they then sell to the customer, nor can we set up items at the coffee shop for them to handle the sale without the actual baker being present. 3. We have to follow cleanliness, labeling and packaging regulations. 4. We can sell online, in person at events, farmers markets and on our home property where items are prepared. I am not a commercial kitchen subject to health department inspection. I think some of the confusion has been because there is apparently another business opening in town in the near future and also because there are several local home bakers that do not follow the rules which has lead to confusion on regulation and transparency. While my reasoning for not opening today should not have to become public, I will share here that in April I had a massive heart attack and had some appointments re-scheduled for today that were extremely important for me to attend, so that was my priority over baking, not because of a health department issue or any other compliance problem. I greatly look forward to meeting all of you later this week! And thank you for your patience and understanding.
