September is National Recovery Month! 🧔

Recovery is worth celebrating. Every step toward healing, freedom, and wholeness matters.

We believe no one is beyond hope and no story is beyond redemption. Recovery isn’t about having it all together—it’s about taking the next step and discovering that we don’t have to take it alone.

We celebrate:
🧔 Hope that is found in Christ
🧔 Courage to face what hurts
🧔 Community that walks alongside us
🧔 The new life God is creating

ā€œTherefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!ā€
2 Corinthians 5:17

This National Recovery Month, let’s celebrate the stories of transformation!—and remember that your story isn’t over.

EVEN IF NOT…
Sometimes recovery begins with believing God can change everything, but somewhere along the way, we learn an even deeper kind of faith…

Even if He doesn’t change it the way I prayed… I will still trust Him.
Even if the relationship isn’t restored.
Even if the apology never comes.
Even if the consequences don’t disappear.
Even if the grief still hurts.
Even if the struggle doesn’t end overnight.
Even if my story looks different than I thought it would…

I will still choose God. That’s surrender.

Recovery isn’t a promise that God will give us the outcome we want. It’s learning that He is still good, still faithful, and still worthy when the outcome isn’t what we wanted.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego believed God was able to rescue them from the fire…
ā€œBut even if He does notā€¦ā€ Daniel 3:18
That kind of faith will change your recovery.

šŸ”„ God, I know You can… but EVEN IF NOT, I’m still Yours

Some people didn’t just leave your life.
They left a wound behind.

Abandonment can leave you wondering:
Why wasn’t I enough?
Why did they leave?
Why wasn’t I worth staying for?

Maybe it was a parent who walked away.
A spouse who left.
A friendship that ended without explanation.
Or someone who was physically there, but emotionally absent.

Those wounds can follow us for years… affecting how we trust, how we love, and how we see ourselves.

Celebrate Recovery is a place for hurts like this, too.
You don’t have to pretend it didn’t hurt.
You don’t have to keep carrying the rejection.
God can heal the places someone else’s leaving wounded. ā¤ļøā€šŸ©¹

What do healthy boundaries sound like?

For many of us, saying ā€œno,ā€ asking for space, or letting go of responsibility that belongs to someone else can feel uncomfortable.

But healthy boundaries are not about being unloving—they help us love others in healthier ways.

They allow us to show compassion without rescuing, support without carrying, and forgive while still making room for wisdom and healing.

Take a look at a few examples in today’s post. šŸ’™

šŸ’¬ Which one stood out to you today?

Did you know that avoidance can be a hang-up?

šŸ›‘ Putting off hard conversations.
šŸ›‘ Ignoring painful emotions.
šŸ›‘ Staying busy so you don’t have to deal with what’s really going on.
šŸ›‘ Hoping problems will disappear on their own.

Avoidance may bring temporary relief, but it often leads to deeper pain.

Healing begins when we stop running and invite God into the places we’ve been avoiding.

ā€œGod is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.ā€ Psalm 46:1

The best place to be on a Tuesday night!
Dinner at 6:15, groups start at 7:00

What is an Open Share Group at Celebrate Recovery really like?

Maybe you’ve wondered:
ā€œDo I have to share?ā€
ā€œWill people judge me?ā€
ā€œDo I have to tell my whole story?ā€

The answer is simple: come as you are.

An Open Share Group is a safe and supportive place to be real, find encouragement, and connect with people who understand that life can be hard sometimes.

You are never pressured to share before you’re ready. Sharing and listening are both important parts of the healing journey. There is often healing in hearing someone else’s story and realizing, ā€œI’m not alone. Someone else understands.ā€

What’s shared in the group stays in the group. We’re not there to judge, fix, or give advice—we’re there to support one another with grace, honesty, and hope.

Whether you’re taking your first step toward healing or continuing your journey, you have a place here.

You don’t have to walk through it alone. ā¤ļø
