About ten years ago, I entered into the world of gluten free. Initially, it was not easy. I found myself missing so many foods, but especially baked goods. I was hit with things like Garbanzo bean flour, cardboard like cookies, and the driest bread that no amount of jelly could fix.
Since finding gluten free bakery items in stores proved to be challenging, I dove head first into from scratch gluten free baking. Cookies, muffins, breads, and pizza crusts, I have tried it all! I love to bake, and would love to be able to share my goods with others who are gluten free, which has led me to the creation of Legit Baked Goods. “Legit” is a term my family began using in our early gluten free days, as a way to label anything that was gluten free. It was a way to tell if something at a family get-together was safe for us to eat, just a quick, “is that legit?”
After years of trying different types of flours, and recipes, I have found some of my absolute favorite baked goods. I hope you all enjoy these treats as much as I do!
