As most of us know, nothing pairs better with fresh summer fruit than a homemade pound cake.

My mother in law graciously shared a handwritten copy of her mother’s pound cake recipe. I have it framed and hanging in my kitchen.. along with handwritten recipes from my mama and my mother in law.

Family recipes are a treasure and I am proud to use Mrs. Dorrell’s recipe as my go to pound cake recipe. It is perfection.
