Our first special is a Mahi Mahi Plate Lunch with a crispy panko furikake crust, served with white rice, cabbage and crab macaroni salad.

And yes... this plate is every bit as big and delicious as it looks. 😋

This one is pure local-style comfort food. The kind of plate you’d expect to see at a Hawaiian family gathering, potluck, or luau. 🤙🏽

Introducing our BAMBUCHA WEEKLY SPECIAL PLATE LUNCH:

We’re back open tomorrow (11am - 6pm), and we’ve got a number on our minds.

You’ve been asking for more hours, and we would LOVE to make that happen.

Because we love Ellettsville. We love this community. And one thing we know for sure is that **Ellettsville shows up for its own.**

So here’s the goal:

**37 new customers a day.**

That kind of support would help us grow into longer hours, more mornings, more evenings, and more chances to serve this community we’re proud to call home.

🐟🌺 We LOVE seafood, so we’re making Fridays a little fishier!

Starting Friday, October 9, join us for 🐟Fishy Fridays🐟 at The Hawaiian Hoosier!

Each week, we’ll be serving up a different fish or seafood special, giving you one more delicious reason to kick off the weekend with a little aloha. 🌴

First up: Mahi Mahi with a crispy panko furikake crust, served with white rice, cabbage and our crab macaroni salad. 🍚🐟

And fair warning... this is a **BIG plate for a BIG appetite.** 😋

🍍 **SUNDAY TIP from The Hawaiian Hoosier!** 🌺

Ever stand in the produce aisle staring at a pile of pineapples thinking, *“Okay... which one of you is actually ready?”* 😂

We understand the struggle.

A good pineapple should smell sweet near the bottom (smell the Okole), have a little golden color, and feel nice and heavy for its size. And that old trick about pulling a leaf from the top? Not nearly as reliable as we were all led to believe! 🍍

**Now here’s our Hawaiian Hoosier trick...**

If you cut into your pineapple and discover it’s a little less ripe than you hoped, don’t give up on it. Sprinkle on a little Island Zest! ❤️

That's the seasoning we put on all our fresh fruit. That sweet, salty, tangy flavor helps bring out the pineapple’s natural sweetness and gives fresh fruit an island-style kick. It's a not so secret at the Hawaiian Hoosier.

We love Island Zest on pineapple, watermelon, apples, mango and more. A little sprinkle goes a LONG way!
