A Joy Bakery Welcome! I’m Abby, a busy working mom (of 4 girls!) who has found that baking brings me joy. A Joy Bakery is an in-home bakery located near Eldridge, Iowa.

Starting to prep for the Halloween Cookie Class! I’m so excited for it and it’s almost sold out!
❤️I love decorating sugar cookies with royal icing, but I’m not going to lie - it takes a lot of prep! My kids love it, too, but they don’t love planning ahead and getting everything ready. That’s why I thought cookie classes would be fun - I get to do all the prep and clean-up and you get to have the fun! 🤩

What’s included:
🎃 12 sugar cookies
👻 4 colors of royal icing all bagged and ready to go
📍 A set of cookie decorating tools (not to keep, sorry)
📋 Step-by-step instructions, tips, and tricks!
📝 My sugar cookie and royal icing recipes
📦 A bakery box to take your cookies home in so you can share (if you want 😉). Note - after they are fully dry, royal icing sugar cookies freeze so well and can stay fresh for 2-3 months in the freezer.

Less than 2 weeks until my first Halloween cookie decorating event! There are only a few spots left so if you’ve been thinking about signing up, now is the time!

👻 $40 gets you and a friend/kid/family member a dozen cookies, frosting, decorating supplies, and step-by-step instructions from me!
🎃 Add an extra guest for $20 and get an additional 6 cookies to decorate
💀 Want to attend on your own? No problem - the $40 package is all yours to decorate a dozen cookies!

Tonight I made something that I don’t usually make - Scotcheroos and Loaded Scotcheroos!
I signed up to bring treats for the teachers at my daughter’s school this week because they are staying late for parent teacher conferences.
I can’t wait for these to cool and set up so I can taste test them tomorrow! I’ve got to make sure they taste ok before they go out the door! 😉

Orders for next weekend are open! Scones, cinnamon rolls, and the popular sampler boxes are back!

📣 Important note - due to a busy week, only SUNDAY pick ups are available! I’m going to need Saturday to bake since my weekdays are busy.
