There’s a photo behind every small business that most people never see.

For me, it’s this one.

There are days when I leave one job and head straight into another. Days that start before sunrise and don’t end until long after dark. Days when I wonder how I’m going to keep all the plates spinning. And then I look over and see him sitting beside me, helping, waiting, watching, growing.

And suddenly I remember exactly why I do it.

He is my North Star.

Not the sales. Not the followers. Not the accomplishments. Not the promotions.

Him.

Every sacrifice, every long weekend, every risk I’ve taken, every goal I’ve chased has been rooted in the same purpose: building a life that shows him what hard work, resilience, and perseverance look like.

This picture reminds me that success isn’t measured by what we build for ourselves. It’s measured by the people we’re building it for.

I think we all need that reminder sometimes.

When life gets busy, when work feels overwhelming, when the goals feel far away, take a moment to remember your why. Remember your North Star. The person, purpose, or dream that keeps you moving forward when things get hard.

Because when your purpose is bigger than yourself, you find a way to keep going.

And for me, it will always be him. ❤️

Some of my favorite moments from the farmers markets have very little to do with cookies.

They’re the conversations. The familiar faces. The customers who become friends. The kids who stop by every weekend to see what’s new. The neighbors who bring out-of-town guests. The people who have supported this little cookie booth from day one and the new faces who discover it every week.

Over the past four years, The Cookie Boss has become so much more than a bakery. It’s become a place where community happens.

As a one-person business, every cookie is mixed, scooped, baked, packaged, loaded, unloaded, displayed, and sold by me. The fact that so many of you continue to show up week after week is something I never take for granted.

Whether you’ve bought one cookie or one hundred, shared a post, told a friend about The Cookie Boss, or simply stopped by to say hello, thank you. You have helped turn a dream into something bigger than I ever imagined.
