Just toured a Maine wonder of the world (to us!) at Libby Maple Tree Farm with the owners, Jay & Kathryn Libby in Cornville, ME. They also hosted us via Harvest Host on their charming farm of about 200 acres.

We learned about maple tree planting & growth as well as the gravity-fed system of tapping the trees for sap to create the best maple syrup of Maine. Their farm is award winning both agriculturally as well as a bird sanctuary.

Where it all started!

First was a table in the inlet section of AC selling homemade caramel corn. Amazing! Then was the AC Seafood Festival and AC C***r Festival (thank you, Jon Henderson!). Then the AC Airshow selling this plus fruit smoothies.

Then, we opened our shop in Gardners Basin, Atlantic City. So long ago and such awesome memories.

Guess whose ovens are back on? Mine!!

Getting ready for another busy fall by stocking my shelves with flour, sugar, chocolate chips & other yumminess.

Today I donated almost 8 dozen huge chocolate chip cookies all made with only the finest butter and semisweet chips as well as dark cacao bars broken into shards.

This benefits Caleb Elijah Family Foundation who’s donating backpacks filled with school supplies to the children of Egg Harbor City.

I have an abundance of lemons and apples. Maybe I’ll knock out a few lemon blueberry pound cakes and fresh apple cakes. Or maybe apple fritters for the weekend….ohhh, so many yummy ideas.

RVing has been taking me away from my first love of baking. We left for the southeastern states back early April and returned the first of May.

Our trip was incredible, seemed like only two weeks flew by but it was four, I baked in my tiny RV oven (and successfully!) and - most importantly - we remain married! It’s a feat for many but we’re finding this “hanging out & talking without life’ distractions” are actually working for us!

We returned and I finished up saying goodbye to some very special Stockton students and did some baking for friends & family. Grandkids, a 75th birthday party for my honey & two grandkid graduations & graduation parties has put me in the tired end of being retired!

Quick synopsis to keep you up to date! I’m back and my ovens are on. If you wished for anything, what would it be?
