Planning for a soft opening for our farm store/stand next Saturday!
I will have cookies and mulberry lemonade available opening day!

In the meantime, I’ve been working on rendering grass-fed/grass-finished beef tallow (OFFICIALLY FROM OUR BEEF! 🥹), restocking late spring hydrosols, fresh soaps, and more.

This weekend I’ll be distilling chamomile hydrosols, rose hydrosols, and lemon balm.

Tomorrow, I’ll start infusing a fresh batch of Rash Salve. Rash salve includes jewelweed, plantain, and comfrey to help sooth rashes, stings, and bites of all kinds. Jewelweed has an affinity for poison ivy and stinging nettle rashes, while plantain helps reduce inflammation and draw out infection/venom, and comfrey helps encourage healing.

I have select herbs harvested and dried from our farm. They will be bagged in 1oz increments for you to use as teas, DIY tinctures, herbal creations, and baking. ❤️

If time allows, I will work on a small batch of bug repellant (although I was thinking of a more fun name, any ideas would be appreciated). This year it will include geranium, lemongrass, peppermint, and eucalyptus - as it’s worked very well for our family so far to repel both mosquitoes and ticks.

My elderberry syrup is not heat sealed and needs to be refrigerated. I do not heat sealed them to preserve the benefits that raw honey offers.

Jewelweed soap loaf is ready to be cut!

I’ve been wanting to make this for a few years and somehow the summer always gets away from me.

I’ve got two lard based loaves of Jewelweed soap used for gently cleansing rashes, big bites, and other minor skin irritations.

Look for this soap when our farm store opens!

I’ll be making fresh Jewelweed hydrosols and salve for all your summertime poison ivy, bee sting, and bug bite encounters. ❤️❤️❤️

The pastures are abuzz with bees, butterflies, and other bugs but we were tickled to find a ground nest of some sort we’ve never noticed before!

Any ideas who could have made our field their home?

We’ve noticed a massive increase of biodiversity over the last few years since moving to the farm and one of our favorite pastimes is identifying what new creature have stopped by!
