Please Help.
We are partnering with the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine to raise money to purchase pre-paid Grocery Store Cards. The cards are being made available as a temporary alternative to the suspended Federal SNAP program. All Persons who come in need will be able to retrieve a card at the Cathedral Community Cares food pantry and shelter on the Close of the Cathedral. Please donate what you can. All the funds will go directly to the pre-paid Grocery Store Card fund.

Hello Neighbors!

The Hungarian Pastry Shop is planning a storefront replacement and redesign. Because we are in a NYC Historic Preservation District, our plans require approval from the NYC Landmarks Preservation Committee.

And the first step in that process is taking place tonight! We will be presenting our storefront plan to Community Board 9's Landmarks Preservation/Parks Committee. This will be a great chance for you to see our plans, share comments, and lend your support to the Pastry Shop at the most important and elemental, community level.

“Hey New Yorkers! I know that logo!” says a guy across the one-lane road in a Greek village.

Here we are in Mavrommati, a beautiful little town overlooking the magnificent 369BC ruins of Ancient Messini in the Peleponnese.

And a former customer spots the logo on our tote bag.

Turns out Marlon, from South Africa, lived on 104th street & Broadway for several years, and was a regular at the Pastry Shop…eight years ago!

Pictured here is Panagiotis (also known as Peter), owner of the HPS who’s orignally from this part of Greece, along with his wife and daughter, and the fellow traveler named Marlon.
