One of my clients was forced to cancel their appointment today, thanks to her realizing she had a sunburn from a couple days ago. When spray tanning over a sunburn you run the risk of having a peeling appearance. It is generally advised that individuals who have suffered severe sunburns avoid spray tanning, (posing a risk) for up to 6-8 weeks. Although I have no encountered such a prolonged risk, I recommed a waiting period of at least a week accompanied by rigorous sun protection and moisturizing measures.
