🍄 The Halloween gnomes have invaded your hometown Edgerton Bakery! 🎃

They snuck in and made our customer favorite Blueberry Scrunch, but they didn't stop there.

They also made a Cherry Scrunch with chocolate drizzle, and two have already sold! 🍒🍫 Come in and get yours before they're gone.

And don't forget about Trunk or Treat, two weeks from today in beautiful downtown Edgerton! 👻

🍩 Saturday Staff Spotlight shines on both a current bakery employee and probably a future one at your hometown Edgerton Bakery! 🍩

First up is Jorge! He's been at the bakery for a couple of months, working after school and on Saturdays. His favorite job is making boxes 📦 and his favorite treat is a bismark!

Jorge is in 10th grade at Edgerton Public Schools, and he loves to play basketball 🏀

Now on to his sister Hadie, who came in the other day to see what her mom Liliana does here. We thought a pic of the two of them in aprons was just right! 🧑‍🍳

Super Fan Friday 🍩

This week's hometown Edgerton Bakery Super Fan isn't a person... it's a business! Meet Buffalo Ridge Insurance in Luverne. 🎉

These folks are always ready for office donuts, and everyone on the staff has their own favorite. 🍩 We'd love to bring donuts to your office too, so reach out if you're interested!

Buffalo Ridge Insurance was founded in 1995 by the mom of current owner Cory Bloomendahl, back when it was just one staff member. Now they boast a team of 10! 👏

Olaf, Olga, Oona Bea and Ozzie Rye were jumping for joy to take a picture with the Buffalo Ridge crew. 🍄

Hope's cooking up something fabulous tomorrow, and the smell alone is worth the trip 🥐

You just watched her roll, fill and fold these by hand. Now comes the best part: eating one.

🌶️ Ham with an optional jalapeño kick (for the brave ones)

Orders are already rolling in, and Hope has 6 spoken for before the first batch even hits the oven. 😄 Quantities are limited, so get yours while you can!

🌾 The gnomes went back to the field, and the field was gone! 🌾

The gnomes from your hometown Edgerton Bakery headed out for their daily excursion into the countryside today. 🍄

They stopped at the same spot they visited two nights ago, and what a difference a couple of days makes! The fields were bare. No combines, no tractors, no grain carts, and no semis. 🚜

That's how the farmers around here get it done. They finish one field and move right on to the next. 👏

Here are Olaf, Olga, Oona Bea, and Ozzie Rye, standing in those bare fields and wondering where everybody went. 😄

Thank you to all our farmers for the long days and hard work. Be safe out there, and stop in the bakery if you need a donut or some rolls to keep you going! 🍩

🌽 The Edgerton FFA corn drive is on!🚜

Tuesday was a big day for the Edgerton FFA chapter, because it was their annual corn drive! The kids head out across the district and ask farmers for donations. The grain is then sold, and the proceeds go to:

🌾 The food shelf/Angel Tree
🌾 FFA Support Scholarships for seniors
🌾 Camp True Friends, so people with physical challenges can attend camp

Before they could hit the road, your hometown Edgerton Bakery had to make sure they had rolls. 🍩 Nobody wants to knock on doors on an empty stomach!

Carl remembers taking part in the corn drive as a member of the Worthington FFA chapter, so this one hit close to home. And here's a fun fact: Edgerton FFA's Nate Thompson actually knows Carl's high school FFA advisors. Small world! 😄

If an FFA member knocks on your door or stops by the farm, say hi and thank them for all the work they're doing for our community. 💚

Oh, and the gnomes were unavailable for a picture 🍄 They were sleeping in after all the harvest activity on Monday. 😂

🍬 Big news in Edgerton: the anise candy is back, and it's moved into a tub!

We know, we know. Some of you are thinking, "Wait, where's the bag?" 😂

Rest assured, the candy is exactly the same. It's still that bright red, powdered-sugar-dusted, one-of-a-kind anise flavor you grew up on. It just has a new place to live now.

If anise candy is your thing, you already know there's no in-between. You either love it or you politely pass it down the table. 😄

And if you're the one who always sneaks the last piece out of Grandma's candy dish, this one's for you.

Stop in at your hometown Edgerton Bakery and grab a tub (or two, because they have a way of disappearing) before the gnomes find them. 🍄

Olaf just made Mater proud. 🚜

Olaf considers himself a lot like Mater from the movie Cars, who is always talking about getting a ride in one of those "big" helicopters.

Well, Olaf finally got his big ride. He took a spin in the John Deere combine, sitting in the buddy seat as co-driver. 🌽

Watch him go by! He had a great time, and he'd like everyone to know he's now very qualified for harvest. 🍄
