Every once in a while someone walks through the door of your hometown Edgerton Bakery and it turns out you go way back. 🍄😄

That's exactly what happened recently when Tony Schnyders stopped in — and to be honest, we didn't recognize him at first!

Tony is from Worthington, went to Northwestern College just like Carl and they even worked together at Wells Fargo. Small world doesn't even begin to cover it. 😄

Tony now lives in Ohio but was back in the area visiting his parents Jerry and Sheila who live nearby. Many of you will remember Sheila as the music teacher at SWC for many years — a familiar face in this community for sure. 🙏

It's always such a great feeling when old friends find their way back to Edgerton — even if it takes a second to recognize them! 😄

Every great delivery route needs a great co-pilot. 🐾🚗🍄

Every once in a while on our runs to Leota, Fulda, Slayton, Jasper, Beaver Creek, Hills or Luverne we bring along one of our four legged crew members — and both Mike Wazowski and King Henry have proven themselves to be excellent co-pilots. 😄

No complaints, no backseat driving, they stay in their seat, and they never argue about the radio. Honestly they're better travel companions than most. 😄

Olaf and Olga were out at Roskamp Farms again this weekend and this time they had one thing on their mind — rain. 🌧️🍄

It's been a tough stretch for the crops around here and the countryside could really use a good drink. Olaf and Olga were out doing their best to help pray some rain in. 😄🙏

And it worked! Your hometown Edgerton Bakery's in house farmer Lucas Roskamp was pleased to announce that they got nine tenths of an inch this weekend. We'll take it! 🌧️🌾

Every little bit helps and we are thankful for every drop.

Stay tuned later this week — Olaf, Olga and Oona Bea may be heading back out to explore the countryside again. 👀🚗

The annual SWC Alumni vs Varsity soccer match is underway — and this year it carries a little extra meaning. 25 years ago Southwest Christian were State Champions in soccer. What an incredible milestone worth celebrating. 🏆

Olaf and Oona Bea were already out scouting the perfect spot Friday night — those two take their soccer very seriously. 😄

And after the match stick around for the hot dog fundraiser — served on fresh buns from your hometown Edgerton Bakery of course! 🌭🍞

It's Staff Spotlight Saturday at your hometown Edgerton Bakery! 🍄⭐

This week's spotlight shines on Griselda Medina — one of our early morning warriors who comes in somewhere between 4am and 5am to get things rolling for the rest of us. ☀️

How long has she been with us?

Somewhere around a year — she can't quite remember and honestly neither can we. 😄 What we do know is that we're glad she's here!

Griselda is married to Efrain who works at K&M Concrete and together they have 3 sons. When she's not at the bakery you'll find the family camping, fishing and just enjoying time together outdoors. 🎣🏕️

At the bakery Griselda's favorite donut is a twist and she loves any of our buns — Jimmy, hamburger or luncheon. But her favorite thing to make? Long johns — and she takes the sizing very seriously. Every one has to be just right. 😄🍩

That kind of pride in the details is exactly what makes your hometown Edgerton Bakery what it is.

It's Super Fan Friday at your hometown Edgerton Bakery! 🍄⭐

This week's Super Fan hails from the Hills-Beaver Creek area and it's Keith Elbers!

Keith was born and raised near Hills-Beaver Creek and went to school at Southwest Christian. After graduation he headed to the Sioux Falls Stockyards as a cattle and hog buyer before starting Elbers Auction Service and eventually getting into real estate. A man who has never been afraid to take on something new. 🙌

Now here's a fun little piece of Edgerton Bakery history — Keith is the reason you have Apple Fritters on Thursdays. He's usually in Edgerton on Thursdays and Apple Fritters are his donut of choice so we made sure they were ready for him.

That's just how we do things around here. 😄🍩

When it comes to bread Keith keeps it simple — a hearty bun. Jimmy, luncheon or hamburger. Whatever gets the job done. 😄🍞
