Our Daily Bread is closed permanently. Several events have lead me to this decision and I hate the idea of leaving ODB behind but physically mentally and emotionally I can’t be here anymore. I have to put myself and my family ahead of this place or I fear what will happen to us. I am willing to sell as is-stock equipment furniture everything please contact me privately with a reasonable offer. I am looking for a realtor to do the sell but have not contacted anyone at this time.

Our Meme 💔

Bobbie Sue Allen Stone, 72, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center at Mercy Health in Paducah, KY.

She was born on June 2, 1954, in Madisonville, KY, to the late Louise Travis Allen and Bob Allen. She was formerly employed as a receptionist for Dr. Randy Littlepage Dentist office. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed cross-stitching and loved her dogs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Stone; son, Jacob McDowell; and her brothers, Johnny Williams and Jimmy Allen.

Her survivors include her daughter, Dodie (Brian) Whittington of Kuttawa, KY; son, Seth (Brooke) McDowell of Eddyville, KY; sister, Becky (Ronnie) Hendricks of Madisonville; brothers, Sammy (Jeanne) Williams of Dixon, KY, Joe Allen of Atlanta, GA, and Bryan (LeAnn) Allen of Madisonville; grandchildren, Justice Peralta, Jaksen (Gracie) McDowell, Cadence Peralta, Kooper McDowell, and Pancho Peralta; great-granddaughters, Ivy McDowell and Ella McDowell; several nieces and nephews; and her boyfriend of many years, Larry Haley.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, August 14, 2026, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Bryan Allen officiating. A private family burial will be held at Pythian Ridge Cemetery in Sturgis, KY.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the service hour on Friday at the funeral home.

It’s been very emotional these last few days and we are all worn out but especially Dodie please keep her in your prayers as the care team has moved Meme to Hospice @ Lourdes, the vent has been removed and they are keeping her as comfortable as possible. 😢🙏

We have not had our vent work done because of the above mentioned and so between the two we are choosing to close this week rather than stretch ourselves any thinner than we already are. Please forgive us and pray we are back in full swing by next Tuesday 8/18. Thank you for all your heartfelt messages we appreciate you all so very much.

ODB closed early today and will do our best to be here tomorrow 7am-noon 🙏🙏🙏🙏😢
We are asking that you lift up our Meme in your prayers she was lifeflighted from Caldwell hospital back to Lourdes early this morning and is now in ICU on a ventilator.Still waiting at this time to hear from the drs. No doubt we will have some heavy decisions to make in the very near future. Please hold Dodie Seth and the rest of our family up in prayer as we blindly go down this road. Thank you all for your support and kindness toward our family.

Sat CLOSED for event

Our schedule will be adjusted weekly depending on the heat. Please keep in mind it’s 90 degrees before we get crazy in the kitchen and then our thermostat reads HOT!! 🥵 However, this doesn’t seem to carry over to the dining room 🤷🏻‍♀️ so it’s still comfortable.
Any exhaust system recommendations would be appreciated 🙏
