52 opened in 2000 do to a really crappy 1999. Both of our fathers died and I was fired 2 weeks before Christmas. Being fired was a gift I found out later. We started as Applewood Bakery and Catering Company, than to Applewwod Bakery

Found God (he really wasn't missing) changed to 5 Loaves & 2 Fish Bakery and now 52 Bakery.
52 has an amazing story.
52 started as a shorter name but is so much more. Isaiah 52, Stand up shake the dust from your clothes and be what God created you to be. God made me to be a creator-flour, water, yeast and salt are my canvas
52 represents the year that I am embracing my gifts and letting go of the past and all the fears that hold us down. 51 years of living in fear is long enough
52 weeks of work and 2 weeks of rest

Good Mornin! Got a couple of new items today, Black Cap w Apple Scone-simple and bangin, True Bauerenbrot made w Rye and Spelt from Heartland Craft Grains it is dense chewy and you need a sharp knife and cold butter! Last Item is Teds- a Greek style Focacia w Capers and Feta, reminds me of Ted's Greek salad. Man I could go for a Sausage Mushroom and Onion Pizza from them- same pizza for 40 years-yum
