52 opened in 2000 do to a really crappy 1999. Both of our fathers died and I was fired 2 weeks before Christmas. Being fired was a gift I found out later. We started as Applewood Bakery and Catering Company, than to Applewwod Bakery

Found God (he really wasn't missing) changed to 5 Loaves & 2 Fish Bakery and now 52 Bakery.
52 has an amazing story.
52 started as a shorter name but is so much more. Isaiah 52, Stand up shake the dust from your clothes and be what God created you to be. God made me to be a creator-flour, water, yeast and salt are my canvas
52 represents the year that I am embracing my gifts and letting go of the past and all the fears that hold us down. 51 years of living in fear is long enough
52 weeks of work and 2 weeks of rest

Looks like we’re going to have a beautiful Saturday morning tomorrow. We should have 40+ local farmers and businesses bringing a wide variety of their products. MUSIC: Dan and the Obtainables. We’ll be open 7:30-1:00.

Looking forward to a great morning at the Downtown Farmers Market tomorrow.
Tomorrow also starts our Token Program. Use your credit/debit/SNAP card to purchase $1 tokens to spend at all vendor stalls. New! for SNAP participants, purchase tokens and receive a match of $20 of free vouchers to purchase fruit and vegetables. You may take advantage of this match on both Saturdays and Wednesdays. Stop by the Token Table inside the south entrance for information and purchase of tokens.

Good Morning Peeps! Baking away this morning, couple of updates, Country Sourdough ended up in the Garbage can- dont ask:) Made a big batch of Potato Bread that's in the oven to offset. Have a nice Multigrain w Kamut and Einkorn, made a new Oatmeal Cookie variation w sunflower, pumpkin seeds, dates and coconut. New foccacia made with Tomatillos and Chipotle. Pop down and say hi
