Had a bit of a Test Kitchen Weekend here at the Angry Crumb Company.

Took a trip this week to Restaurant Depot where I can get a heck of a deal on flour and butter in bulk. That means, of course, I had to test them to see if they will work.

Made a new starter with the new flour. Also tried a few loaves with mixes of different starters and then my old stand by flour and the new whole wheat.

Used 2 of the 4 kinds of butter I got to try to make some cookie dough. We’ll see how it works for this next weekends’ bakes.

Made a delivery to the Leavenworth Farmers Market and picked up some rhubarb that is now coming into season. Rhubarb and Strawberry Rhubarb pies baked up really nicely.

And treated ourselves to French Toast for breakfast this morning with the Brown Sugar Raisin Swirl Sourdough. SO good. These loaves turn out super pretty inside!

I am not at the Leavenworth Farmers Market this weekend - I’m there 1st and 3rd Saturdays.

You should STILL go and check it out today! Especially L'Ecuyers Homestead. All their baked goods are gluten free, wheat free, and taste amazing!! These ladies are wonderful and have baked up some great goodies for you!

Thank you Leavenworth!

My first time at the Leavenworth Farmers Market today was awesome!
I sold out in the first 2 hours! This just means I need to make more next time (obviously).

Thanks to all who came out, both my regular customers who stopped by AND all the new people I met today.
A million thanks for supporting me in this new business adventure.

As always, I can’t wait to bake for you! I’ll be back at the farmers market on June 20th!
