My grandmother passed away last night a few weeks away from her 91st birthday. It was sudden and it’s hard to process being so far away.
My Abu (Mirelly) was loving, brave, and the coolest grandma in the world. Among her many qualities, my favorite one was her ‘grandma objectivity’. She was proud of us and our biggest cheerleader in anything and everything we did. She thought (and constantly told us) how smart, beautiful, and amazing we are. She also use to tell us individually how we were the favorite grandchild, but not to tell the others!
The reason I’m posting this here is because she believed in me and Chilean Sweets. My Abu loved it when I told people she was the one that taught me to make Alfajores. She taught me so much more! I’ll miss you so much
