A delicious red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting (her favorite- of course!)

Fun Fact: In today's day & age, the red hue in red velvet cake is typically from red food dye. However, the color initially occurred when the acidic ingredients in the cake (vinegar) reacted with non-Dutch cocoa powder!

Why do I love baking?... For the satisfaction of creating something amazing from a few ingredients. I love when people enjoy what I've made. The opportunity to be creative. I cherish memories of being young in those warm kitchens, with the people I love most. The very ones that taught me how to bake!! One of my favorite "simple delights" in life is enjoying something delicious & freshly baked.
But most of all--I LOVE to put "a cherry on top" of someone's special day. It's incredibly rewarding knowing that I'm apart of making someone feel extra awesome! ❤️🍰🍒✌️
