To our neighbors in East Orleans and to our loyal guests,
Four years ago I was given the opportunity to take over ownership of a legacy business that means a great deal to the Orleans community and so many others. Now, with a mixture of pride and accomplishment, I can announce that this chapter at Nauset Farms is coming to a close.
While these last few years have certainly brought their share of challenges, we have been able to persevere due to our amazing team and our local and vacationing customers that have been there for us every step of the way.
As Nauset Farms moves into its next chapter under the stewardship of trusted local operators and neighbors, we are especially happy to share that the core team will remain in place and the store will continue serving the East Orleans village as a locally-owned and operated specialty market for years to come. This includes our well-respected meat department led by Rick Backus.
For now, you can expect very little to change; Nauset Farms will remain the same local market you know and love, with the familiar team, food, and community at its heart.
For me, this transition means more time to focus on Sundae School, the ice cream business that I am so excited to continue growing.
So, to all, I share a robust and heartfelt thank you. It has been a privilege to lead Nauset Farms, and I am looking forward to seeing what comes next for this special place.
