Bake with Deb Baked with love. Human and pup treats. Debbie's Pupcakes and People Treats is an aspiring business that is more like a hobby or, truly, more like an avocation.

I've been baking since I got my first easy-bake oven at age (maybe) 6 or 7. Being concerned about what my adopted fur baby eats - I really don't like dog foods and treats that contain ingredients I can't pronounce - I started home-making his treats by creating my own chicken jerky after a bad experience with a commercial brand. My pupcakes and biscuits are usually not a recipe but a combination of a-little-of-this and a-little-of-that. I don't make fancy human-appealing treats, I make food for dogs (proven by my lack of success at craft show sales!). They don't care about frosting and pretty colors and will happily dive - nose and paws first - into a boring beige pile of freshly poached chicken. My people treats are tried and true recipes (no messin' around) that come from my family (most notably my dear departed mom), trusted book and web sources and my favorite TV cooking shows.
