This is a big moment for us and for all our customers, whose support has made our role in this program possible.

We all live just one moment, one unlucky event or circumstance, away from finding ourselves on the other side: from having enough to suddenly not having enough.

And it is the best feeling in the world to come practically full circle: from our own uncertain road, recipients of goodwill, to a place where we can help others through their own difficult moments.

We are so grateful, as I’m sure many people are, to everyone at the Sheriff’s Office, Waquoit Congregational Church, and all our customers for making this happen.

But especially to the dedicated team of new pizza makers in the program who will one day be very far from where they are now—maybe eating some pizza—and remembering what they did for others, even while in their own most difficult moment. And feeling pride in that.

Amazing.

• Watching every employee’s different dough-throwing styles

• Our cool little homemade gelato machine
• The house-made cannoli recipe from our old cannoli shop
• The dough babies. So many dough babies.
• That one classic cheese slice that you grabbed real quick...
...that ended up being a small transcendental experience
