Chubby Bubbe is a licensed and insured NJ cottage baker who has passed the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification, accredited by the American National Accreditation Board (ANAB)-Conference for Food Protection (CFP). Chubby Bubbe specializes in universally loved Jewish & Eastern European desserts and treats such as Babkas, Challah, Rugelach, and Mandelbread! She also can throw down with elegant simple custom cakes. As well as vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free. My frostings have also passed testing at the University of Idaho Food Technology Center.

BABKA choices are: Double Chocolate, Cinnamon Brown Sugar (plain, with raisins, with mixed chopped nuts, or both; Nutella; Biscoff Cookie Butter, I’m NUTZ (pecans, walnuts and almonds). $15 or 2/$29 (wrapped in plastic bags and tied). These babkas are either 1lb or 2lbs.

We also make BABKA BREAD PUDDINGS! $15 each.

RUGELACH choices are Apricot Walnut Raisin, Bonne Maman Four Fruits Walnut Raisin, or Double Chocolate, or let me know what you’re thinking. $15 for 1/2lb (clamshell) or $29/lb (Boxed)

CHALLAH Round (1.25lb) - Plain or Cinnamon Brown Sugar with Raisins $15 or 2/$29

MANDELBREAD is sold by the “loaf”. Weighing in at least 1.5lbs and Chubby Hubbe calls it Jewish crack. this is absolutely my grandmother‘s recipe the original OG Chubby Bubbe. this is not a crunchy biscotti like mandelbread. Mine is more soft. The OG is apricot walnut raisin. I also make a crunchy peanut butter & jelly mandelbread (invented by Chubby Hubbe). $25 a sliced loaf boxed.

We also make Vegan Zucchini Bread with vegan chips, or nuts, or raisins or all of them! Large loaf is $29 or small $15 or 2/$29.

We also make Vegan Challah!

My browned butter Chocolate chip cookies are made with high-end chocolate and can be made all crunchy or soft in the middle crunchy edges. one lb 8” cookie is $15.

For CAKES. 6” three-layer cakes start at $70. 8” three-layer cakes start at $90. Cake flavors are my amazing Chocolate, Vanilla/Yellow, Sour Cream White Cake, Southern Red Velvet, Funfetti. My buttercream has been approved as a Cottage Baker by the University of Idaho’s Food & Technology Center. Sprinkle cakes no extra charge. Pricing is for simple frosting design, smooth or textured!

Vegan, Dairy-free, and/or Gluten Free 8” 3-layers are $110.

If you ever need anything, I would need two days’ notice, as I mentioned I do work full-time. Tho in the case of a shiva order, I will be honored to accommodate as soon as you know.

CHUBBY BUBBE Cake options are:

CHOCOLATE MACAROON CAKE - $55 (cake version of the chocolate-dipped coconut macaroons that are a staple of Passover)

Persian Almond Cake with Pistachios & Cardamom - $40 (Persian Almond Cardamom Pistachio Cake is a moist and aromatic dessert recipe)

Flourless Chocolate Wave Cake - $45 (This version is a very light, moist, best-of-all-worlds cake that rises very tall in the oven and, as it cools, falls gradually to form undulating waves. It’s also dairy-free, making it a perfect Passover cake.)

Apple Walnut Raisin Cake - $40 (this Passover apple cake is a lovely tradition to share with your family. Layers of apples are baked with matzo meal and finished with a crunchy nutty and spice topping that create a moist apple cake which will become one of your favorite Passover dessert recipes.)

All cakes are beautiful and boxed. Each cake is handmade with love & passion. Cakes are made with almond flour or matzo cake meal.

The cake in the video covered in almond slices was a bust and is now in the garbage 🤦🏼‍♀️.

Hey Everyone - next Saturday 12/6 Chubby Bubbe will be at the East Brunswick Winter Wonderland 1-6pm at the Munixpal Complex. The township does such a beautiful job, it’s like a Hallmark movie - so come on out - so many vendors and it all ends with the lighting of the Christmas tree and Menorah!

Chubby Bubbe will have lots of babkas, rugelach, challah (think Sunday french toast!), we will also have Pecan Pie and since all can be frozen for Hanukkah - I’m also bringing a Jelly Donut Bundt Cake with sugar topping or cinnamon/sugar blend (see pics)!
Chubby Hubbe will have his free samples!
