God is in the details…

Every morning we pray over our customers. We pray over our food that it will nourish and delight everyone who consumes it. We pray over our building, our town, our shop neighbors and construction team. We pray over our children, our employees and our day.

Today I prayed an extra prayer for all of our patrons to experience a piece of God’s joy when they entered. And wouldn’t ya know that one of my specialty sweet rolls (Strawbwrry Rhubarb) came out in the shape of a heart. So I appropriately iced it to look as such and presented it to the nice couple waiting for their sweet treat to-go.

Come to find, it is their ANNIVERSARY!!!! ❤️🥳🥰🙏. We all gasped. And then she said to me “what you’re really sharing here is ‘Joy’! “. I almost fell over and I shared with her about the prayer I had said earlier.

You guys, I can’t make this stuff up. I cannot even begin to count all the ways they the Lord show up in our space. He’s incredible. He’s gracious. He’s Jehovah Jirah. He brings us peace and joy and fun. He supplies us with the people we need, when we need them. He has brought us all the resources we need to be successful and He guides our every step. If you’re seeking God in your life, this is your invitation to come and see Him in action.

We had a little fun last night and played around with some delicious Chai Tea as we were making these beauties. Buttermilk base, high quality French butter, Spicy Vanilla Caramel Chai from Chateau de Fleur all brought together in this light and fluffy bite of heaven. This sourdough loaf is infused with Meyers lemon olive oil and accompanied by black olives, artichokes, and a blend of 4 Italian cheeses.

Here are a few inside pics from last week. We were slammed! 🥰

We had the most AMAZING people walk through our doors. We serviced many families with for end of school, we got lots of people filled up with cupcakes and sweet treats for the holiday weekend, and we had the most delightful conversations with new patrons and our beloved regulars out on the patio. As the weather warms, you can expect more fruit-forward flavors, seasonal produce, and old fashioned staples!

We feel it’s our patriotic duty to salute our ancestors with treats from the past. One of my favorite flavors will be making its debut this week…. We are bringing butterscotch back!!! 🇺🇸

This week’s focus: 🍓strawberries and Rhubarb and some lemon thrown in for good measure.

Beautiful day for a party 🌸. I wrapped up our first official catering order since we opened. It felt so good to drop this one off to an amazing family for their gathering. Here’s what was on the menu today…

🫶🏼Ham and smoked Gouda with mixed greens on a sourdough baguette with our famous Dijon maple spread.

🫶🏼Honey turkey with havarti and butter lettuce on our signature orange bread finished with a tart cherry spread.

🫶🏼 Kid sized PB&J on our peanut butter bread.

🫶🏼 And a beautiful fruit forward salad with a tart cherry vinaigrette.

Our kitchen may be tiny but our hearts are BIG and we love to share in your celebrations and life events. Please contact us if you’re looking for something special. Special is our middle name!
