Stonewall, which gave us pride marches and parades, was lead by two bisexual trans women of color. Do not forget. And do not become complacent.. Stonewall was a riot and we still have more to do.

The Stonewall riots:

A series of spontaneous, violent demonstrations led by two trans-women of color Sylvia Rivera and Marsha P. Johnson against a police raid that took place in the early morning hours of June 28, 1969, at the Stonewall Inn, located in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City.

They are widely considered to constitute the single most important event leading to the LGBTQ liberation movement and the modern fight for LGBTQ rights in the United States.

Let me share a little about Lizzy as Calvin Spealman works on the art. Lizzy is a fat, femme, bisexual, woman who uses laughter to avoid her feelings... she's really good at this.

She grew up as an only child and only had her mom- who was an amazing woman. She taught Lizzy to work on cars and instilled a great work ethic. "Never pay for something you can do yourself!" her mom would tell her!

She's spunky, has bright pink hair, loves vintage dresses, and gets really shy in social situations even though she's secretly a social butterfly.

Her secret super power is that she is amazing at baking.. but don't ask her to cook you dinner- she will most definitely burn it.

We're getting so close to the end of January! We have three main characters for the web comic to start out with- Eric, Lizzy, and Charlotte. Lizzy is based on yours truly- fat, bisexual, and awkward. I'm excited to introduce everyone :)
