Well… hello again!

If you’ve noticed that things have been very quiet around here lately, you’re not imagining it. I promise I haven't ghosted you all. I know I’ve been pretty absent from this page, and I figured it was finally time to tell you why!

A few months ago, life took a pretty big—and somewhat unexpected—turn when I decided to put my classroom teacher hat back on and accepted a full-time teaching position.

Going back into the classroom has been exciting, rewarding, exhausting, and BUSY. 😂 Between lesson plans, grading papers, teaching all day, and everything that comes with being a wife and mom, something had to move a little farther down the priority list…and for this season, that something has been cookies.

But I promise I haven’t quit cookies!

I still love creating cookies. I still love this little business. And I’m incredibly grateful for every single person who has ordered from me, taken a class, shared my posts, recommended me to someone, or supported this business over the years!

Things just look a little different right now.

Teaching is my main focus during this season, which means you probably won’t see me taking on the volume of custom orders or constantly posting new cookie sets like I once did. I’m learning what it looks like to make room for both things I love without feeling like I have to do everything, all the time.

You'll still be able to find my cookies at The Pink Place, see me at events, and of course still be able to attend my cookie classes! That said, how about a Halloween cookie decorating class THIS MONTH?!

We’ll be getting together at Hotshots Coffee for a cozy evening of coffee, cookies, and Halloween fun while I walk you step-by-step through decorating six adorable Halloween cookies.

No decorating experience is needed. Come by yourself, bring a friend, make it a mother-daughter date, or grab the girls and make a night of it!

Cookies may have our name... but they're definitely not the only thing we do. 😉

For this special event, the only "theme" was the color palette—and we had so much fun bringing it to life across a variety of desserts! From decadent brownie donuts (bronuts) to dipped treats, every dessert worked together to create one cohesive dessert spread.

One of my favorite things is helping customers with treats beyond cookies. Whether you're planning a birthday, wedding, shower, graduation, corporate event, or any other celebration, I'd love to help create a dessert spread that's customized to your colors, style, and vision.

I'm so excited to announce our next cookie class at Blue River Valley Winery, the Seaside Summer Cookie Class! Whether you're dreaming of salty air, lighthouses, sailboats, or simply looking for a fun night out, this class is the perfect way to soak up the last bit of summer.

This class is perfect for beginners—I'll walk you through every step, teaching you techniques that you can use on future cookie projects. No decorating experience is needed!

If you've been wondering why I've been a little quieter than usual lately, don't worry—I'm still here. I haven't been kidnapped by a rogue batch of cookie dough.

The reality is much more exciting: we're in full-blown "help my parents move" mode!

Our days currently consist of helping my parents decide if that stash of yarn that hasn’t been touched for thirty years is really worth keeping, planning out the most efficient travel routes, etc.

Because of all that, I've made the difficult decision to skip Father's Day and Fourth of July pre-orders this year. And honestly? I'm kind of bummed.

Of all the years to miss Fourth of July cookies, it had to be America's 250th birthday! 🇺🇸 Of course my parents would choose the most epic Independence Day in our lifetime to decide they wanted to move. The timing is truly impressive. 😂 But helping my parents move and getting to celebrate this holiday with them for the first time in almost a decade is more than worth it!

We'll be back in late July with a cookie class that is going to be SO much fun. I can't spill all the details just yet, but it's one you definitely won't want to miss. 👀

Thank you for hanging in there with me while life is a little extra chaotic. I appreciate every single one of you, and I can't wait to get back to creating sweet things for you! I will say that you’ll still be able to find sweet treats from us at The Pink Place!

I wasn't quite sure how I was going to pull together a sophisticated 21st birthday set around a soda theme, but I'm so happy with how these turned out!
