💜There are a lot of new here, so I figured it was time to reintroduce myself and explain how my cookie business works!
💜So first, my name is Jackie Mertens of Sprinkled Sweet, a cottage food business (meaning I work from my home kitchen with a special cottage bakery license) in Duncan, Nebraska. I specialize in decorated sugar cookies, but also have a lot of experience with cakes and cupcakes. I also teach Cookie Decorating Classes. I am a one woman show, I am the creator, baker, decorator, photographer, marketer, and customer service. My full-time job is stay-at-home mom to my 3 kids and cookies are my side gig.

🍪 HOW CAN I PURCHASE COOKIES? - I typically have 2 ways for you to purchase cookies: Holiday Pre-Orders and Custom Orders.
🍪 WHAT ARE PRE ORDERS? Often times, I have a pre-order for major holidays and teacher/school related holidays (back to school, teacher appreciation, etc). A few weeks prior to the holiday, I will make sample cookie sets and post them for sale on my page. Pick ups for the cookies are usually a couple of days before the holiday.

🍪 WHAT ARE CUSTOM ORDERS? A custom order is a uniquely designed set of cookies I create to match your event/special occasion. Decorated sugar cookies are extremely time-consuming. I usually spend 2-5 days to complete an order, depending on order size and details. Therefore, I am only able to take on a few orders a week. At least 3 weeks of notice is best, since I get booked fast. Occasionally I can sneak in a last minute order.
🍪 HOW MUCH DO THESE BEAUTIFUL MORSELS OF AMAZINGNESS COST? My cookies start at $36 a dozen and can go up depending on details like florals, lettering and metallics!
🍪 HOW CAN I PLACE A CUSTOM ORDER? Send me a message on this page with the date you need the cookies by, your theme and approximately how many cookies you're interested in. I will let you know if I’m available or not. If I am available, we will discuss the rest of the details and get you on my books.
🍪 CAN YOU PUT MY FACE ON A COOKIE? Ok, nobody actually asks that, but I absolutely can. Last year, I made a huge investment in my business and purchased a printer that can put any image on a cookie. I can print pictures, images, logos... you name it.
🍪 DO YOU ONLY DO COOKIES? I focus mostly on cookies, but I have tons of experience with cakes (don’t believe me, check the photo section, scroll way down) and cupcakes and will occasionally take orders for those as well.
🍪 HOW DO I GET MY ORDER? Orders can picked up at my house in Duncan, NE (just 10 minutes west of Columbus). Address will be provided after details are finalized and pick up date/time is established.
🍪 WHAT ABOUT COOKIE DECORATING CLASSES? Various classes are offered throughout the year. They can always be found on my page and Events. Each class will provide you with everything needed to decorate 6 full size cookies. You will get to take your masterpiece home for your family to enjoy. Most classes are taught at Barrel House Bar in Columbus, NE.
🍪 ARE YOU ALLERGY FRIENDLY? I’m friendly to people with allergies (my mom raised me to be kind), but not an allergy-friendly bakery.
