When I first started creating cake art 15 years ago, I fell in love with vintage Lambeth piping. I practiced on counter tops, on cupboard doors and cake dummies. It’s something in the way the shadows create such beauty. This technique was created over 100 years ago, and the fact that it’s made such a huge comeback has me hooked again.

Ai is EVERYWHERE right?! It’s wild, however I’m not hating it when wedding couples come to us with an Ai generated cake design. It’s a great tool to really capture your vision. I am then able to discuss what parts can and cannot be done and how we can create a cake similar to your true vision. How are you loving the robots?

What a darn blessing it is to have created a business where we can soak in the beauty of Lake Superior each weekend on our deliveries up the north shore. I always allow extra time before rushing away to sit by the lake and pause.
