Thank you to all of our supporters for your words and actions of encouragement over the past few weeks - we were overwhelmed by it all. We explored all of the options and determined that we simply will not be able to sustain this business in our neighborhood right now.
And now with the Governor’s new proclamation announced yesterday, people are realizing that we all need to be more careful and stay home. Because of that we have decided to close our doors now. We (the owners) will be in the shop in the morning tomorrow (Wednesday) so stop by to grab any last baked goods or breads we have available. This is not how we envisioned things playing out but this all just feels par for the course for 2020, doesn’t it? What a year.
We hope that everyone has learned something from this experience about what it means to be a good neighbor, about thinking about the implications of your actions on others, about having a conversation before taking legal action, but also about the power of positivity and support and community. The way this community mobilized to try to help us was so inspiring and we will not forget it.
Please don’t lose that passion - let’s all band together and help our locally owned businesses this winter. Shop local for holiday presents and order take-out from your favorite restaurants. It is going to take all of us as a community to save these businesses we love.
Thank you again!
