Me: Getting the kids to start their own business was a terrible idea. (As I’m eating my 4th cookie...)
🤦🏽‍♀️😋🤤

I picked the breadfruit leaf when I designed the logo for the kids' cookie business. I wanted something that would represent our Polynesian heritage. The leaf is meant to be purple to stand out, plus purple happens to be my favorite color 🙂
Growing up, I was always fascinated by Tahitian mythology/folklore. The story of the breadfruit is one of my favorites. According to legend, a long time ago, a famine hit the island of Raiatea. This young father couldn't stand seeing his family suffer any longer and sacrificed himself for them. His body turned into a breadfruit tree which allowed his family to survive the famine. Minus the cannibalistic theme, 😱 this story illustrates a father's love for his family, his willingness to do anything to provide for them.
To all our Wonder Dads out there, thank you for all your sacrifices, your hard work is appreciated.
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!

We’re so proud of our Little Wonders!
They woke up at 5:30 this morning and worked hard so that their customers could get fresh yummy baked goods. I myself, woke up at 8 😬. I think Wonder Dad woke up at 9 😆.

They manned their little pop-up for 3 hours. People passed by without giving them a second look. Others were so kind, showed interest in them, and took the time to talk with them. My Wonder mama’s heart swelled with gratitude as I watched my kids explain why they decided to commandeer a street corner in Pleasanton today. And I’m grateful to those who walked by without expressing interest. You helped them to understand the power of no, making them work for every dollar they earned.

It’s been so much fun to listen to them brainstorm ideas to grow their business and to help mediate the occasional meltdown and mentor them when needed. It’s also been fun to be the first to sample their tasty creations. I need my gym to open back up!

Special thanks to all of you (family, friends and strangers) who’ve supported them so far.

Talofa, ia orana, bonjour, hey there!

We officially became brothers and sisters 4 years ago. We’ve laughed, fought, played, cried, hugged, and annoyed each other ever since. We’re the Brady Bunch 100 times louder, messier, and 100% real... and we wouldn’t change it for the world.

If you haven’t guessed yet, we’re Polynesian ;) Our parents were taught hard work from their parents, who learned it from their parents, and so on. Somehow during the COVID19 lockdown, they decided that us kids doing chores to “build character” wasn’t enough anymore and encouraged us to find ways to earn money using our creativity and talents. That’s how we started the Little Wonders Bakery. Our baked goods range from your regular American treats to a few favorites from the Pacific Islands and a couple French specials.

Let me introduce you to the crew, oldest to youngest:

Little Wonder #1 · Graduating from High School · On my way to Junior College to become a nurse. · I’ve been playing volleyball since I was 11 and will continue at my Junior College. · I have a thing for Korean shows and Japanese anime. · 10% of the money we earn will go to tithing. Then, after we pay for all expenses (thanks, mom & dad, for paying for those upfront), we’ll divide the rest among us to pay for college and other personal goals/needs.
