This isn’t a cookie, but it is a very special pie. It was a labor of love to bake this Pecan-Rye Pumpkin Pie. The crust is made from scratch with rye flour. Flaky, soft, and full of flavor. The filling is made with pumpkin purée, rye whiskey, and 6 different spices. The pecan topping is tossed in a maple syrup-brown sugar mixture. This pie is all about the details in every layer. With the cold front coming in tomorrow, this is the perfect pie to welcome the fall season.
