For years, The Cake Cart has been my passion and my pride. I built it from the ground up, and along the way, all four of my children watched it grow—but Ray was the one who rolled up her sleeves and joined me from the start.
She was there for the markets, the private events, the long days, the big ideas, and all the countless moments in between. She learned this business not just by watching me, but by working right alongside me.
Earlier this year, I made the difficult decision to sell The Cake Cart so I could give more of my time and energy to Rowell Ranch. I knew it was the right decision for me, but letting go of something I had worked so hard to build was definitely bittersweet.
Then Ray decided she didn’t want to see The Cake Cart leave our family.
She stepped up and told me she wanted to take it over—and I couldn’t imagine a better person to carry it forward.
So instead of saying goodbye to The Cake Cart, I’m passing the baton. ❤️
Ray will officially be taking over the day-to-day operations and leading The Cake Cart into its next chapter. I get to focus my energy on Rowell Ranch, while watching something I created continue to grow in the hands of someone who has been part of its story from the very beginning.
I am incredibly proud of what I’ve built, but I’m even more proud of the woman who is stepping up to make it her own.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me and The Cake Cart over the years. You’ve cheered us on, booked us for your celebrations, visited us at markets, recommended us to friends, and helped turn a little idea into something pretty special.
Now I hope you’ll join me in cheering on Ray as she takes The Cake Cart into its next generation. 🍰✨
Same Cake Cart. Same family. A brand-new chapter. ❤️
